Jane Adams has an outstanding balance DVD called Stronger Standing Balance. It starts out with easy balances and works up to very, very difficult. I highly recommend this workout. Jane has a calm voice and actually mirror cues!
https://www.amazon.com/Improve-Balan...rds=Jane+Adams V-Core is OK, but I can't bring myself to do it. The instructor cues badly and her vocal affectations are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Kathy Smith has a 20 minute balance workout on Total Body Turnaround that I really, really like.
I did part of Petra Kolber's Elegant Strength yesterday -- just the lower body and core work segment -- and it was all about balance. AF Check out my blog at www.typeALC.com |

Linda Wooldridge of Barlates has two free workouts that feature balance, the first one is dynamic stretch and balance, and the second one is balance pad strength and stability.
I've done the first one several times, but I didn't click with the second one. There is a new standing abs one I haven't tried, http://www.videofitness.com/~vfwnk/f...d.php?t=217901. I remember feeling that Eoin Finn's blissology yoga set was challenging for balance and strength, but that was a long time ago that I used it. I think Tonique improved my balance the most, because of balancing on one foot while executing different leg lifts, and also probably from doing repeated handstands. Tracy Anderson probably deserves credit too. Her core work is all about horizontal balance. |
