10 Timeless Fitness Laws

Hey VFers,

Saw this on Facebook today, and while it is nothing earth shattering it was just a nice way to touch in to the fitness "roots." I've been ruminating on the perfect formula for "maximizing results" this month so this was a good grounded reminder about the basics. Hope everyone is having a great Friday!

Great share missaulnier! It is just what we were chatting about on your thread. This article just said it much better than I The interesting thing I've found is the 'perfect formula' weebles a bit, day to day. A frequent pause for rebalancing of the basics is needed.

Great basic article. Interesting that a local news program did a segment just yesterday on new research that shows that breakfast really isn't all that important. Of course, wait a bit, and 'newer' research will again show that it is.

Makes me want to get on my pull up bar. I always forget about it.
A new rotation for me, pull ups and push ups.

I liked this article, well written and gets straight to the point. On the breakfast thing, that's interesting to me, Joni. I'll have to search for that article. I DETEST breakfast, always have, probably always will. Over the years I've been SO tired of people telling me how much I need it. I figure everyone is different in how their bodies work, and my body tells me that eating before a certain time of day (which is long after "morning") makes me feel ill, not energized.

I think this is the article. I saw it on Facebook a couple of days ago.

I can tell you that 17 years ago I lost 50 pounds by completely listening to my body regarding food and exercise. My body mostly told me not to eat breakfast.

Thank you! And what you did is amazing!! I think this is the factor that gets underplayed...really listening to our bodies. They want to be in balance, I would think. We just aren't really set up most of the time to truly listen let alone do what they're asking.

And sorry all...didn't mean to hijack this thread so I'll go away now
