The best cardio is the one you will do!
I also think interval training helps also.

Who knows?

I started using Cardio Coach on my treadmill 4 weeks ago, about 3 times a week. I have lost almost 3-1/2 pounds (ate too much this weekend, so it should be more!), without reducing my eating. Prior to that, I was stepping and kickboxing 3 times a week, and usually for longer sessions than Cardio Coach.

Is it the running or the intervals that have made the difference? Is doing the interval running 3 times a week too much? I would normally do one longer interval workout a week (IMAX or PlyoX, etc.), and now I'm doing 3 shorter interval workouts.

I don't think there are any definite answers, but it's fun to think about!

I've found that varying things helps a lot. I do three cardio sessions per week. When I am really focusing on losing weight, I try to make 1-2 of those longer cardio sessions. Those are 45-60 minutes and are generally lower to moderate intensity. Whatever other cardio sessions I do in the week (1-2), I do for shorter periods of time, but I try to up the intensity, either with interval workouts, kickboxing, or intense step workouts.

I also found that just upping my activity level through the day (taking more steps, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.) helps as well in the total effort.

This is what worked for me

I did a CTX style rotation that took off the pounds. I did not do it exactly as Cathe designed it though. I picked out three CTX cardios (which are high intensity) and did them on M, W & F. On T & Th I did low impact cardio (usually Charlene Prickett). I never did more than 25-30 minutes of cardio of a day followed by upper body and ab work. I did this for a month and lost a pound a week. It was nice to find out I didn't have to workout any longer on my less intense days to get results. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I dropped about 5 pounds within a month of Cardio Coach (alternate days of running, the first week..I used it every day). But I am not sure if that is the only reason, some days I was eating less, less sleep, constantly pounding at the keyboard maintaing CC threads. But I am convinced in my mind that it definitely helped me in some weight loss.

Restarting with Leslie. The advantage of restarting is that there is so much room for improvement and it is fun to progress, right?
