Try a search for *chair Zumba*, *chair exercises*, even *chair yoga*, etc.

Most standing routines with an upper body and core focus like kickboxing can be done sitting with alittle tweaking.

Hopefully, you tried Arnica gel immediately after the injury

(ETA: don't forget MUVE chair routines too!)

I was just going to suggest seated Zumba because I saw it on your blog just this morning!!

sherry - another idea - do you have leslie sansone's short cuts UB and LB disc? the UB is seated. the LB is floor work.

Actually my favorite chair Zumbas are by Paul Schneider,
maybe because he resembles a friend of mine:

Sherry - I hope your ankle is better soon! Ellen B's Fusion Floor is another that is all done seated or reclined.

I wrapped mine tight and did standing boxing. Instead of bob and weave I did squatting type moves. I just can't sit still enough to rest it, so I do my best to not irritate it too much more. I also found that some chair exercise didn't work because you were picking up and putting down the foot and that bothered it more than walking type workouts. Doesn't work for everyone, but just a suggestion.

After a few days, I did low impact workouts and really limited side to side motions and other angles.

If you have R/A Dr. House Call and/or Quick Fix there are plenty of segments on those that can be done from a seated position. I actually did that with several from QF last night.

So sorry about your ankle, Sherry! Hope it heals fast!
I was just going to suggest this - actually just about any Margaret Richard workout can work - she does a lot of floorwork for lower body if your ankle is up for it and for any of the standing upper body you can likely sub seated positions.

I love her stuff for when I'm injured b/c her pace is slow and controlled and she only works one body part at a time so less chance of messing something up b/c you're doing too much at once.

I hope you heal quickly, can go see Queen, and get back to your workouts!!!
