Seems like sort of a shame the the A.S.A.P. DVDs aren't more widely available, as they look like good workouts that VFers would be interested in. Denise R reviewed all three and seemed to like them all!

I saw this workout on the VH1 program Hollywood's Tightest Bodies (or something) last night. I was intrigued, did a VF search and found this thread. I've always like tubing and band workouts, but I agree they're few and bar between. Anyone remember Body Art from quite a while ago. I wish I still had that one!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to the site to check it out.

Any thoughts on the music in this workout? What type is it? Does he actually exercise to the beat?

ETA: Not much of a website. No clips either
ETA: I can't find Denise's reviews. I'll keep looking.

Thanks.

I've had this (on the shelf) & tried to trade it, but wanted 2 wish-list DVDs for it because it cost a fortune. Never got any offers.

OK, I'm reviving this thread to ask those who have done this: What kind of band did you use? I'm wondering if I get this, whether I need to get a particular strength of band or if you can just adjust any band you already have.

Rose, if you look on the web site, it appears that they use one long band with handles and then one large circle band (like a large rubber band) for use around the ankles.

I have the intermediate level kit. There are times during the workout when I wish the bands were a little stronger or a little weaker, but generally the intermediate bands work great. I regularly use the Firm and Cathe workouts and consider myself low-advanced when it comes to strength training, so you can gauge from there.

I'd say that tubing with handles would be required for this workout, but for the circular flat band that is used around your feet, you could use a dynaband tied in a circle or tubing with ankle cuffs.
