Not a specific workout dvd, but a style.

I’ve always liked basic, straightforward weight lifting. No jumping, no cardio intervals, no “creative” moves. I still enjoy and prefer this.

I also still love Pilates-inspired, side-lying leg work.

I have several that I enjoy doing over and over.

Tracy Effinger Squeeze Stronger

KCM New You Coming

Circuit Burn

Jari Love The original get ripped

I have many more, but those come to mind first. Glad to hang onto my DVD's

All of them! I've purged mercilessly the last two years - even selling, trading or giving away videos by beloved instructors that I don't like, rather than keeping the whole collection just because.

I kept all my favorites from:

~ Ellen Barrett
~ Kathy Smith
~ Jane Fonda
~ Yoga Booty Ballet (all)
~ Winsor Pilates
~ Rodney Yee and other Gaiam instructors
~ KCM
~ Tracey Mallett
~ A select few yoga DVDs
~ Ravi and Ana (all) (not using but I know that will change some day)

This could go in both the love/hate threads, but I still love step workouts. I no longer do the older Cathe ones that I used to love. I still think they're great workouts, and designed well, it's just that I now prefer simple choreography with basic stepping. I know enough moves now that I sometimes add my own variations, or even a weight belt if it's simple and slow enough. And I rarely go more than 45 minutes.

I just got back from a long trip where all I could do was Classical Stretch/Essentrics and walking, SO yesterday I pulled Muscle Eats Fat off my shelf (thank you, FanofLadyVols!) and did a nice intro class. I loved it MORE yesterday than when I first did it 16/17 years ago. I plan to follow up with the rest of the Lotte Berke videos this week.

I still love Jessica Smith’s Walk Strong 1 set, and so the workouts often.
