Good morning everyone!
I don’t know what happened to yesterday! We are expecting some massive thunderstorms and possible tornado warnings between 2 and 5 today. We have a safe area in the basement and I’ve already packed up the necessities if needed (meds, paperwork, etc.). My main concern are my robins – the babies are beginning to feather and mamacita and papacito are constantly circling when not feeding them. I cannot wait until they fly off! They are tucked under the front porch, high up, so I think they’ll be safe during the storm. My husband keeps shaking his head that I’m more concerned for them than us!

Pat: I’ve never gone down to the Thames but passed many times on our way to the casinos for concerts! Such a beautiful area. I have no problem eating any of my concert tickets. I heard from my neighbor today and he’s feeling pretty sick. He’s vaccinated and double boosted so this makes me even more determined to play it safe.
Donna: Sounds like you were meant to be at that wedding and speak to that co-worker! For me, at the end of my career, I just didn’t want to deal with any BS or aggravation, which is why I quit my last corporate job and started a pet sitting business. All in all, it turned out well. We have to put ourselves first. I remember once my husband was very sad after leaving a very loved job in San Diego (Wells Fargo Mortgage Division). They were moving the operation up to San Francisco and it’s just too expensive up there. So, he took his severance but it really saddened him. I told him you cannot love something that cannot love you back – it’s business, it’s corporations, money is their bottom line and employees are just collateral damage. So, Donna, put yourself and your needs first!
Summer Breeze: Yes, the uptick is truly scary. I heard from my neighbor this morning and he said he’s really sick. It’s his third time with Covid – fully vaxxed, double boosted. I haven’t been to a restaurant since 2020 – other than one time sitting outside. I’m determined to do everything I can to not get this virus. I don’t blame your sister one bit!
That’s all she wrote! I hope everyone has a great day!
