Water sandals for the beach: what do you wear?

I'll be going to the beach later this month and I want to get some sandals or shoes that are comfortable with good support. It would be helpful if they ran narrow and are adjustable for my narrow foot. I have a narrow heel and skinny feet. I'll be using them to walk on the beach and in the water, too.

Thanks!

I have slightly narrow feet. I wear Chacos Z Cloud (no toe loop). They are adjustable. I find them the most comfortable. I wore Tevas before that. They are pretty comfortable, but the Chacos just work better for my feet. I normally wear a 9.5. I size down to a 9 in Chacos.

I wear Tevas. My sons who have been campers and counselors at a summer camp with lots of water sports like their Chacos and Tevas. They’ve also worn Keens with more coverage for their whole foot.

Another vote for Tevas. I've had two pairs in recent years, not because they wore out - they never seem to do that - but because our puppy chewed one.

I have Chacos and Tevas -- Chacos are heavier (the lug Vibram sole is serious stuff so great for hiking, serious arch support), Tevas are lighter (easier to travel with).

I wear Dawgs Z sandals and walk miles every day on the beach and in the water. I also wear them when I'm home on regular walks instead of my regular walking shoes when it's hot. You can buy them online. Not sure how narrow they are, though.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've ordered a few pair of Chacos and hope one of them works for me.

The Dawg Z sandals have some cute patterns, but not being adjustable, I don't think they would fit.

late to this thread but I'll add my 2 cents. Like Joni, I love Dawgs Z sandal but my foot slides around when wet. My all time favorite water shoes have been Ryka Hydro Sport. Durable and very comfy. Zappos has the best price.

Those were the first ones I considered when I first started looking. But, because it's extremely rare for me to be near the water, I thought a sandal would be a better choice. In fact, this will be my first trip to the ocean.
