Hi all! Any thoughts about what is better, an immersion blender or a personal smoothie maker like a Magic Bullet? My old immersion blender just broke (although the whisk attachment still works). I used my mom's Magic Bullet while I was visiting her and really liked it, but I'm wondering if I would miss having an immersion blender (although I don't use mine all that often).
I mean to note yesterday that I started the book that Linda recommended about Joseph Pilates, Caged Lion. In the intro, the author is at a Pilates convention, and he said that only 50% of those there knew that Pilates was an actual person--and only half of that group knew that he was dead! Paine, thanks for your response. Afternoons generally work better for me, so I'll probably just try to be more consistent with that. cyana, dinnertime (depending on when you have your dinner!) is about when I would post if I wound up filming in the mid-afternoon. Pat, your coolish walk sounds nice. Hope you enjoyed Reiki today. Garrie, nice to see you. I did a lot of Caroline Girvan before my family visit. Congrats on moving in with your SO soon!!! DH & I were just talking about when we first moved in together. Happy Saturday!

Paine, I actually can't remember when I last used my immersion blender other than the recent smoothies I have made! I don't often cook soups and other things like you do, so it's hard to remember, although I have used it occasionally in those types of situations. I might start with the mini/smoothie blender and then if I really miss the immersion I can get that later.
