I prefer rep based, for Joni's reason, but also because I am just so set in my ways. Since the beginning my video fitness obsession decades ago, most of my workout favorites were rep based, and on-beat (for the most part--looking at you, Kathy Smith!
). I do have some issues with time-based workouts because of those reasons.

Me, too! While do some time-based workouts, I do end up evening up my sides, which can be tricky when the instructor has moved on to the next exercise.
