March 2022 Add 'em up Goals & Habits Challenge ~All welcome!

Come join us in setting and achieving goals to promote your overall wellness! We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to chat when we have time, but please also feel free to join us if you want to just focus on your goals. No pressure here to address everyone; share as little or as much as you want!

We have been doing this challenge for many years now. While it is not strictly about fitness goals, we agree that our daily habits work together with our fitness goals to make us happier and more balanced, so we combine them in this challenge. Feel free to join us! You can tailor it to your schedule if you need to take a week off for vacation or only count so many days. Whatever works for you!

Premise: Choose your goals for the month. Every time you complete a goal you get a point. Multiply your number of daily goals by the number of days in the month. This is your max total points. If you choose, reward yourself for reaching a certain percentage of your max possible (I use 90% for my personal goal), multiply by your max to get your total goal points. I also give myself extra credit options.

**Take this challenge however you wish. I used to total my points all the time but have fallen away from that and now just track my goals. There really are no rules, your challenge is your own, we're just here for support and to help each other with accountability. We would love to have you join us!

Yesterday I did Wake Up & Walk week 3 from Leslie's YouTube channel and a hip and glute workout from Upright Health. Today was week 4 of Leslie and Caroline Jordan glute activation workout. I kind of ran out of time both days.

I’m in! I posted today in February’s thread. Here’s my post.

No workouts the past four days, I had a root canal yesterday. So relieved to get rid of the pain! It was crown no. 3. Out of three crowns, one root canal, so I'm counting myself lucky. Still having some soreness chewing with no. 1, but hoping it can be adjusted. I guess time will tell.

MT, congrats on meeting your goals!

Vannie, we are back to 84 today. I like this weather, except my allergies are kicking in again. Back to 60's this weekend and 70's next week. Such crazy weather lately. Weather can really be different here too between north and south.

Katie, I'm sure the weather varies for you too. In the '80's I visited my parents in Missoula, where they spent the summers. We went across the border into Canada, so I could say I'd been to Canada, lol. It was very flat plains.

Oh, Sherry, you poor girl with all the dental issues! I hope it's NOW finally done for you! My parents did smthg similar with Canada when they lived up north. They had gone to a HS basketball game farther north and Mom had never been to Canada so after the game they decided to just cross the border so she could say she'd been there. They ended up being detained bc it looked awfully suspicious on the Canadian side that these people just crossed the border at that time of night and turned around to cross back, like there was smthg nefarious afoot. And to make it worse my mom had a Ziploc baggie in her purse that had previously contained Kleenex but at that point only had the white residue that comes from tissues being rubbed together repeatedly for a while so it looked like an illegal substance. It was all worked out and they were allowed to return to MN and get home but quite a story for the only time she ever went to Canada!

Katie, didn't you go through smthg similar several years ago with dental problems? Or maybe I'm misremembering.

MT, I saw you have a couple concerts coming up this month (and seems like maybe you did mention it a while back). That should be fun!

Vannie, that story about your parents was too funny. I'm glad it worked out. We crossed during the daytime and my stepfather answered the question as to why we were crossing, that I had never been to Canada. The young immigration officer didn't look too impressed. He was probably thinking crazy Americans, lol.

Haha! I'm sure my parents had the same answer but context makes all the difference!
