Ha! I had progressive glasses that I was never wearing for screen work. Last year my eye doctor made a pair of glasses for me that were just for screen distance. I still never wore them! This year she decided maybe it would help me to have glasses like you describe -- progressives that are for screen work and reading. They are the right answer! Yes, I have to switch to distance glasses when I need that, but the majority of the day I'm sitting at a screen and these help so much.
