I think the idea is to reset hormones. Fasting has long been used in people who are ill, often times with success. Fasting doesn't mean starving. Your body can go a long time without food and isn't damaging to most people.

I've actually heard the phrase "feed a cold." Never heard of anyone fasting during a cold. However, most of the time, when I am sick I don't have an appetite.

I agree with this. Colds can make you feel pretty lousy.

I've recently recovered from bronchitis brought on by a cold and I couldn't recommend working out at all. All the congestion puts a strain on your lungs. My mind was itching to get back to working out. I went to the store a few times to get medicines and food and simple slow walking had me gasping for air. I only started to feel better once I minimized moving around unnecessarily.

So, a cold that has nasal and/or chest congestion symptoms? Take the time to heal and don't workout out.

I'm sorry you're unwell, but I'm glad you asked this question. You beat me to it.

Just yesterday I picked up a sore throat. So uncomfortable, and today I'm a bit worse.
Blah.

Take care of yourselves, everyone!

According to that chart I should just be resting, so that's what I'll do.

I'm thinking I may get out my electric mattress pad and see if I can get cozy. Bizarrely, I'm COLD. I seldom get cold these years so I'm at a bit of a loss. Time to make something warm to drink and snuggle down I guess.
