Activewear skit

I saw this on twitter today and LOL'ed! Apologies if it has already been posted, but it is even more valid today with the pandemic. EVERYONE seems to be wearing activewear.

Oh, that is SO timely! I did see it when it came out but it's truer than ever. Thanks for posting - you gave me a laugh.

I was browsing on Kohl's recently and emailed this to someone I know:

Kohl's now has a category for "Work From Home PJs"! There's also "athleisure," "loungewear," and all sorts of stuff in addition to the usual "pajamas & robes" and "activewear" categories that they've always had.

They do have a "Wear To Work" section with actual pants, skirts and blouses that come up, but I doubt many people are clicking on that link these days when they have options like "athleisure," "loungewear" and "work from home PJs" to choose from.

Sidenote: The new material they're using for their Sonoma PJ pants is very comfy. Haven't washed mine yet so don't know how well they'll hold up but they are super comfy and not too thin but not too hot feeling either. They also still have pockets. These have been my go-to PJ pants for years (just to wear around the house) and they used to always be a 60/40 cotton/poly blend. Now they're poly/spandex and totally different material but I kind of like the change and ended up ordering more.

Lol! A "work from home PJ's" section! And thanks for the pj pants recommendation. I hope they have a shorts version of these for summer- I'm in desperate need for some new sleep shorts!

That was funny!

I wear yoga pants pretty much everyday. I wear them when I go places because I want to be comfortable.

I'm 65, nobody looks at me anyway, LOL!

I LOL'd at "Follow Your Dreams" in the video.

I've been feeling like a weirdo during the pandemic because I have sensory processing issues that limit the clothes I feel comfortable in. I find synthetic fabrics really difficult to wear. Clingy, tight clothes drive me up the wall, but so do very baggy clothes that drag and hang. So while I don't doubt it's true, I can't understand how people are comfortable wearing athleisure or pajamas all day. I keep seeing people joking around about banning anything but "soft pants" after the pandemic, and look down at my well-fitted woven cotton dress pants and think "please don't!"

ETA - I do wear synthetics and fitted clothes for athletic activities, but I have to take them off as soon as I'm done or they start grossing me out.

Eibhinn, I get where you're coming from.

I can't stand being either too hot or too cold. Natural fibers are where it's at for me.

IMO, there's nothing worse than wearing fuzzy acrylic socks because my feet first get warm and then sweaty, then they get ice cold. So uncomfortable.

My latest new habit has been to layer a sleeveless tee under my regular shirt every day.

At first I just did it because some of my shirts are cut too short and I didn't want to show that much skin, but then I realized how much more comfortable I was and have kept doing it.

My grandpa used to say wearing sweatpants all day means you have given up. It stuck with me. If I'm wearing sweats or yoga pants or anything like that when hubby is home he comments oh I see you're dressing up today. I love wearing comfy pants but I just don't feel like I've really started the day until I have on "real" clothes. I haven't worked in two years but I still put on jeans every day (or nearly every day).
