Thanks for the reminder of the CRA trilogy - I have to order the next book from my library!

I was thinking my MIL would like it. She is a big Lucy fan and went to Jamestown years ago to see Lucy's museum there.

Beth, thanks for the quote from Jay Michaelson! Did you like Awakening the Buddhist Heart by Surya Das?

Erica H., I'm enjoying The Book of Joy.

I forgot to mention earlier that I'm also listening to the audiobook Killing Floor by Lee Child. It's the first Jack Reacher novel.

Paine, I have liked it, although I don't find him to be quite as engaging as some other similar authors I have read. (Also, I just read today that there were some sexual impropriety allegations against him. )

I got an audiobook from Tara Brach from a used book sale several weeks ago and did start listening, but I'm bad with audiobooks! I will have to get back to it.

Beth, I listen to my audiobook when I'm doing food prep in the kitchen.

I'm reading 50 Words for Rain by Asha Lemie, a book highly recommended by my parents. And I'm reading Someday With You by Nora Roberts, a compilation of two of her older books, something I didn't realize when I got it from the library.

On the Kindle, I'm reading The Emerald Horizon by Jean Grainger and Designer Genes by Emma

I finished Stephen King's "Later" and was disappointed in the "shocker" toward the end, ugh. That's all I'm gonna say, lol. The rest of the book wasn't bad.

Now I'm reading Andy Weir's "Project Hail Mary" which is about an astronaut trying to save the world. It's by the author of "The Martian" which I really enjoyed (even the movie!) DH already finished it because he couldn't put it down.

It didn't seem to be related to the rest of the book at all.

Last week I read The Happiest Girl in the World by Alena Dillon. I was really looking forward to it as I loved Mercy House but this book wasn't as good in my opinion. It's about a young gymnast trying to get to the Olympics. While I appreciate the research the author most likely had to do to describe all the routines the girl did I kind of got bored.

Yesterday I finished Just My Luck by Adele Parks which is about a family that won the lottery. It was OK. I didn't like any of the characters.

Maybe it's just me and I'm being hard to please lately.

I feel like that with fiction. I am very tough to please. I'm reading The Paris Library now, which got such great reviews, but I'm kind of annoyed with much of it so far.
