My DVD VCR might be breaking - Page 2

Those players are still readily available around my area at Salvation Army, Goodwill, and other Thrift or Secondhand stores. There is a huge thrift store not too far from me that is run by a church. I'd consider giving them a call and asking them to put me on a list if I needed something like that and I couldn't find it elsewhere. I actually have 2 backup DVD/VCR players that I got for cheap so that if mine ever decided to quit, I'd have a replacement. I will never give up my DVD's!!!

I would also try opening up the door and spraying some canned air in there to see if maybe it could possibly be dust buildup or somthing. It wouldn't hurt anything to give it a try.

Your local Craigslist or yard sales might be another option to consider.

Yep, I completely get this. Next to my actual DVDs and VHS tapes, of course.

I always say to myself that in the event of a fire or natural disaster, this is what I am grabbing on my way out the door. Along with my step(s).

I have found that Samsung DVD players can be a little picky with burned DVDs, but they generally work. I have played them in Sony and Magnavox players also. I have a dvd player from Wal-Mart that was about $35.00. I will check their site tomorrow to see if they still have it.

We have had great luck with Sony DVD players, but dislike their blu ray players. They are incredibly finicky about what they will play, and they have this weird glitch . I
It turns on without us turning it on. It is very strange.
