Oh and one more recommendation! I have really liked the books by M.L. Longworth. The series is set in France and I think it falls nicely into the cozy genre. It’s well written.

Sollamyn, I love British mystery shows too! My fave are Midsomer Murders.

And I love cozy mysteries so much so that I write them. So can I give a shameless recommendation for my mystery series?

I write the Food Blogger Mystery series (I'm currently writing the 5th book right now) and the Resale Boutique Mystery series. Both are available on Amazon, B&B, and other retailers.

You've gotten a lot of great recommendations and I hope you find new stories to cozy up with!

Right...that's why I prefer cozies, I don't care for the violence/graphic description in some mysteries, it's just not my thing.

I used to like Chick-Lit, but have moved on from those though I enjoyed the Shopaholic series. I have always liked mysteries, stumbled onto cozy mysteries by accident and I have been addicted ever since. They are right up my alley and I haven't tired of them yet. Part of me thinks I am too old for them (mid to upper 40s but I don't care, I like them so I keep reading them).

Lots of good suggestions in this thread, need to check out the Biscuit Bowl series.

FirmDeb - I will check out your mysteries too, how interesting!

This is my favorite genre! I love so many of the authors mentioned.

I would also add Kate Carlisle she has a couple series (Bibliophile and Fixer Upper) and Ellery Adams too ( secret bone and scone society, book retreat, antiques and collectibles, supper club, charmed pie shoppe and books by the bay series) .

I look forward to looking into your series also FirmDeb. That is so cool!!

Thank you for mentioning Kate Carlisle. I read her years ago and could not recall her name.

Not in the cozy genre, but the Maisie Dobbs mysteries by Jacqueline Winspear are some of the best written I've read. They have more of an emphasis on psychology in figuring out whodunnit.

I also loved all of the Elizabeth MacPherson books and the Jenny Cain series. The Sharyn McCrumb books have one of the greatest titles of all time: If I’d Killed Him When I Met Him (I’d Be Out of Jail By Now). Very funny series as I recall. Love her Ballad books as well.

Carol, I am so glad to see another fan of the Jenny Cain series! I was sad when it ended. I could not get into Nancy Pickard's other books.

I couldn’t either. I did not like them at all. Too dark, or something. My favorite of the Jenny Cain books was IOU. I loved it! I always thought it would be fun to have Jenny’s job.
