I just finished "The Good Detective." It's a new release, sorry can't remember the author. For a first novel, it was pretty good.
I'm now reading "American Spy" by Lauren Wilkinson. Another first novel---I love it so far. Well written and a great story. I read the first couple of Maisie Dobbs novels years ago. Sounds like I should pick up where I left off! |

I read "The One" by John Marrs. It's about how a company discovered the DNA that matches people together. You submit a DNA sample and if you've been matched, you can purchase contact information on your match. It follows (5) couples experience with it. But one couple has a serial killer, just be forewarned if that's not your type of book. It was interesting and I read that Netflix is going to make a series out of it.
I'm now reading "Where the Hell is Tesla: A Novel" by Rob Dircks. I'm only a few chapters in but it is hilarious! I was laying in bed reading last night and laughing my head off, lol. I'll have to just read it at home so people don't think I'm nuts in public! I'm still listening to Outlander Book 4 - Drums of Autumn on Audible. I am determined to listen to most of it before I watch it on Starz!

Oh, Outlander - will I ever get back to those books?
Kathy, the Tesla book sounds interesting! Is it actually about Tesla?

Tesla book - It is a made up (or as he says is it?) The premise is this guy starts working as a security guard in the basement of the FBI. They give him an empty room and he asks for a desk and chair. When he brings them back to the room he notices that the bottom drawer is locked. Of course he has to open it (lol!) and discovers an old notebook written by Tesla describing his "“Interdimensional Transfer Apparatus" that allowed people to travel to other dimensions. It starts in an old hotel room. The book is a collection of "emails" he sends to his girlfriend.

Kathy, that book sounds fun!
I think I stayed with Outlander through Book 7 but didn't really enjoy the last several books (all over 1000 pages, I believe). I loved the first two books so was really disappointed with how the rest of the series turned out.
