Saw Lynn Hahn in an old horror movie last night.

We're binge-watching Joe Bob Briggs' The Last Drive-In on Shudder. Last nights "classic" was the 80's cult film Evilspeak starring Clint (Ron's brother) Howard.

At the end of of the films, Joe Bob gives bios and career notes about the actors. He mentioned Lynn Hancock who played the mean secretary. (She gets eaten in a bathtub by demon-possessed hogs.)

He said the actress went on to start a fitness business, so I had to look it up.

Her married name is Lynn Hahn and she had several fitness videos out years ago.

I think I had one, but it is so long ago I forget.

Collage has a page for her:

she's proof that horror film acting can be parlayed into fitness film acting.

My favorite fitness instructor trivia is that kettlebell instructor Andrea (Jackson) DuCane used to do the hair and make-up in Mystery Science Theater 3000.

How cool is that?

Alta, DH & I are big MST fans; I have Kettlebell Goddess and had no idea!

ETA: I have a bit of fun fitness instructor trivia too. Last year, I was on a Zoom call with Heidi Tanner! It was a group Zoom about college mental health - apparently she is now the Director of Wellness & Health Promotion at a small NY college, Hartwick:

I tried multiple DVDs of hers back in the day. The one I used the most was her Body, Bands, & Rings DVD. I may still have it somewhere. For those curious, you can see it here.

Laura S. I bought Body, Bands, & Rings based on your recommendation . I have all but one Lynn Hahn dvd. I've liked all the ones I've tried.

I tried several of hers over the years. I used each one for a while. The Body, Bands, & Rings was the only one I kept permanently. Glad you liked her workouts.
