It's time for me to do a Tae Bo rotation I can finally safely air-punch (injured my arm back in June and finally back to being able to actually do things with it)!

Anyone else want to do a rotation / unofficial Tae Bo check-in? I need some accountability right now

I love TaeBo, for me it is fun! I even like the motivational talk he does at the end of his workouts!

For me the brand evokes nostalgic feelings of happiness, but I don't do the workouts any longer. Back in '97/98 on the FIRMlist Sparklist email discussion group it was thrilling when members would drive into LA and do live classes and then report back to us (and even share photos that took forever to download- I had a dial-up subscription to Juno back then). Your autocorrect typo is too funny, OP

Personally, I could never get into Tae Bo. The uneven reps (one entire punch or kick sequence skipped on the other arm or leg), the constant counting by Shelley Counts-a-Lot (who, despite her impeccable form and admirable strength, is a little too enthusiastic IMO) and crew, frenetic pace, appearance that the choreography is made up as the workout goes along, and Billy's occasional "Hold It!"s all just grate mah nerves.

And don't forget the lack of mirror cueing! (I don't mind non-mirrored cueing for Yoga and Pilates, but any other workout and it drives me up the wall )

Just my opinions, of course!

I didn't know this thread was going to be about a typo. I opened it, ready to agree that Tae Bo is a tad boring! LOL

I've tried some of the slower, "beginner" workouts, but the kicks feel strange to me. I'm used to walking and dancing. My punches feel silly and weak and the side kicks tell me my alignment is off. I'm afraid I'll injure myself. The only Tae Bo workout I enjoy is Billy's Bootcamp: Abs Bootcamp. I got rid of the others.

Well, poo.

I just finished a tae bo rotation a month ago while I was rehabbing an injury (I wasn't allowed to lift anything heavier than 5 pounds and only allowed to lift that much > 30 minutes )
