Awwwwwwww. Thank you. So kind. Saving this. I may have to find these on Netflix or Amazon. Now that I’m older maybe I’ll understand more. .

I just finished Yoga Radicals, a book about pioneers in yoga, particularly yoga therapy. I started Funny, You Don't Look Buddhist by Sylvia Boorstein, one of my favorite Buddhist authors because she is so funny and down to earth. I also finished Dean Koontz' first Jane Hawk novel, Silent Corner; I haven't started a new novel yet.

Cheryl - I haven’t seen all the Bond movies, but from the reviews of the novels I have read, some of them are very different from the books. And the release of the movies doesn’t necessarily match the order of the books.
I will say that I am reading these on their own merits and trying not to compare them with the movies. That said, everything that happens in Casino Royale, with some updates and changes, happens in the movie but the book is a much simpler story and doesn’t have all the action of the movie. |

I just finished Gabrielle Union's first book (which I liked better than her first) and The Five Languages of Apology: How to Experience Healing in All Your Relationships. I didn't think it would be useful since I felt like I am good at giving sincere apologies but it did give me a lot to think about even though I didn't love the book.

Can't remember how long it's been since I checked in, but I've done a fair bit of reading lately. Lots of repeats of JK Rowling, Becky Chambers and Jane Austen because I depend on having a bit of something to read at bedtime and not just anything will fit that role.
10% Happier by Dan Harris: took me forever to actually read this one. I checked it out several times in hardback, but never got around to it. I assumed that it was mostly a how-to about meditation and self care, but I was wrong. It's mostly a memoir about his life and how he came to learn about and utilize meditation in his daily life and work. Good read. (FYI, he's a reporter with ABC news, if you think his name might be familiar, this is why. The audio book is read by the author, and well done, but I got the hardback copy from the library when I'd finished listening to their audio cd set so I could make some notes about the practices he recommends.) Dreamwalker by CJ Friedman, and The Mammoth Book of Merlin by Mike Ashley. Picked these up at the library today. My latest writing project is based in How to Grow Your Own Poem by Kate Clanchy. Currently doing some brainstorming on some questions related to the first exercise. Still also working my way through Making Space, Clutter Free. Definitely appreciate her views on this topic, but apparently I'm in no rush to finish the book, LOL! In terms of general reading, I'm also re-reading my notes on Mimi Kuo-Deemer's Xiu Yang, about self cultivation and various practices and habits of mind and body to support such work. It took me what felt like forever to get through this one, making notes all the way along, but now that I've done that I'm really enjoying my notes. Oh, and I've bought some used books online based on Dan Harris' recommendations in 10% Happier. Will share my thoughts as I work my way through them.
