Good to know. This is the first book of hers I've ever read. The only problem is that I think that I've started with the second book in the series. So far, it hasn't affected my understanding of what's going on (if that's true).

I'm really enjoying it so far.

I just finished The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey and I thought it was excellent. It was published in 2018 and is set in 1920s India. It's one of the few books that I can remember reading lately where I got to the point that I had to just sit and read until I finished it. I have the second book in the series reserved at the library and can't wait to read it.

I finished The Boys in the Boat a couple of days ago. I really enjoyed it. It’s about the 1936 Olympic Rowing Team.

Now I’m reading The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner.

I had a very quick read of a novel, Untraceable - the author (Laura ?) reminded me of Tami Hoag.

I just started Trevor Noah's Born a Crime.

I've had that one on my to-read list for a very long time! Looks so good!

I'm reading The Shell Collector by Anthony Doerr. Just finished Gratitude
by Oliver Sacks and Sea Prayer by Khaled Hosseini (both very short). I also finished Rock Me on the Water.

Erica, I found Oliver Saks' Gratitude at a book sale recently and plan to read it soon. Did you like it?

I did, although it was definitely sad due to his terminal cancer and end of life thoughts.

Finished David Copperfield today, finally.

The back half of the story moved really slowly. You can tell he got paid by the word, LOL!!! Good story, though.

I'd picked up The Galaxy and The Ground Within again the other day for a re-read, and am about half way through it.

If you have a favorite science fiction book, plz post the title.

Every summer our small rural library has a Bingo contest for adults and the grand prize is a ipad, which I would love to win. So, to increase my chances I am trying to complete as many Bingo lines as I can. Smaller prizes are for Gift Cards to local restaurants, which I have won a couple in the past summers.

The contest is to mark off squares for reading different kinds of books, i.e. read a book and watch the movie, read a nonfiction book and the one I am struggling with, is to read a science fiction book. It's been ages since I have read a science fiction book, so could use some help choosing one. TIA
