Non-Pilates Osteoporosis Workout on YouTube
I was searching for tubing workouts on YouTube and came across a playlist posted by Carol Michaels Fitness using tubing, a loop and a flat band for an osteoporosis-safe workout. This is the link:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...DHyhhIbcv0McDA This morning I did the first six segments in the playlist, which gave me a pretty nice workout just shy of 45 minutes long (I didn't do the last three bonus segments about exercising in bed). Many of the moves are things I had to do in physical therapy last summer and that I'm supposed to still be doing on my own. It was so nice to find them laid out in a video I could follow along with! It was also really nice not to have to modify any moves (most videos contain things I'm not supposed to do anymore). I thought the instruction and the video production quality were both very good, especially for a free workout. I've bookmarked the playlist so I can use it again. If anyone else is looking for an osteoporosis-safe workout, check it out. ETA - A couple of the upper body exercises require the tubing to be anchored, so you'll need a door attachment or something sturdy to loop the band around. |
