Leslie, I was surprised by your mention of high school textbooks. At my son's school, they had to return them all at the end of the year. I can see her not minding getting rid of them.

I have not been working on anything. I need to get back to it.

Everyone else is doing great!

Sherry

We just sold an old china cabinet & we have three boxes ready for goodwill. I’ve packed some dishes I’m not using right now.

Sherry, they were not textbooks from the school. If they had been, the district wouldn’t have let her graduate! My friend’s son gave them to her-I think they were college ones she used for AP Bio. I don’t know if old ones have any value at all. I doubt it.

I should really get rid of those so I don't get a wild hair day and decide to use them and hurt myself!
LOL on the roller blades. Always skate responsibly...

My task for today was going through my filing cabinet and discarding old outdated papers. I had insurance policy (auto, health, home) annual renewals dating back twenty some years - all gone! Lots of receipts from paid coverage also. I also do the tax folders, but those are relatively easy as I simply discard each one over 7 years old. My little shredder is awfully hot and I've filled every brown paper shopping bag I have with shreddings. Whew!

This is me...in fact I have found some dvd bargains at thrift and used stores so my new to me pile has grown

Sherry you do seem to be purging DVDs/CDs to VFers so that's definitely productive

I'm glad I am part of this check-in so I can take a step back and see what DVDs and books I should purge. I think I can tackle it again. Thanks to all for continuing to post!

Thanks, Linda! I have sent out two boxes of dvds to two vf members in the last week. I am glad they are going to new homes where they will be used. I have a bag of dvds to donate to my library. Books are next!

Anita, great job. I need to go back to shredding. Our shredder stinks, so I dread it. I want to buy a new one, but my dh just rips stuff by hand and said it would be a waste to buy a new one.

Ah yes, shredding season. I do it all year but it picks up around tax season for me. I have a shredder but I also bring stuff into my office whenI have a lot.

I go rid of another DVD today through share the wealth.

I gave away a big bag of DVDs today, yay! I won a hot stone massage from a local practitioner who has chatted to me before about wanting to try working out at home. So I took the DVDs when I went for my treatment today. She is lovely, a young single mom who lives quite rural. It’s a chore for her to get back & forth to the gym or a yoga studio. She was thrilled and I’m glad they went to a good home.
