A bunch of new streaming workout options!

Over the last 9 months I dove really deep into the world of online streaming workouts, and I wanted to share a bunch of options I've found that may not be on your radar yet. I've already reviewed Dancebody, LEKFit, ModelFit, Pvolve and Obe here: http://videofitness.com/forum/showth...ghlight=LEKfit

But there are so many more options I discovered after trying all those. I'm not going to do reviews, since many of them are new to me as well and I either have no experience or just a little.

I will say that there are a lot of really fabulous choices and I am kind of overwhelmed, but also having a lot of fun jumping from one to the other. I kind of hope I stop finding out about new ones, so I can just try all these and make a final decision!

Wow, some of them look good but I'm surprised nothing is under $14.95/mth with the most expensive almost $40/mth.

In an effort to pare down my streaming subscriptions, I've made of list of must-haves - bright studio/outdoor scenery, calendar rotation, nutrition advice/guide, variety of payment options, streaming from the TV, etc.

Hmm...well, I don't think you'll be able to find ALL of those things in one service! If you want nice scenery and a calendar, BBFit films some of her workouts outside and some in a studio. She posts a weekly schedule/rotation in her FB group, and she has a Youtube channel with some nutrition-advice.

Carrie Dorr's site claims to have a "Weekly Meal Plan" in the website menu. IIRC she films in her studio, but no music. She provides Spotify playlists.

All of the studios I listed have free trials, so you can sign up for what interests you most and try it out. The ones on the Vhx.tv platform enable you to see all the videos even if you're not signed in.

I think in general, most fitness instructors just want to stick to teaching exercise. A lot of RD state boards are cracking down on non-licensed people giving nutrition advice (other than general stuff like eat more veggies and fiber).

And about pricing...I think as these platforms have gained popularity, instructors are charging more. $15-30 is the range for 90% of the platforms now. That is still less than the cost of ONE live studio fitness class in most cases. And less than most gym memberships. I understand it can get expensive to belong to more than one (or several). I just jump around a lot. I rarely join for longer than 3 months, but that's because I just haven't found my "perfect fit" yet (but I feel I'm getting closer!). If I had to choose just ONE right now it would be Corps Technique or ModelFit, but I'm not committing until Romney Studios launches in October, because I love the workouts she's posted on IGTV!

Thank you for posting. I am trying to sign up for a free trial of perspirology . It says I already have an account, even though I never created one. Has anyone else had this issue?


Eta: I figured it out. They are run by Cleeng, which also runs Margaret Richard's streaming. Forget it! They charged me for a month before the free trial was up, and multiple people who subscribed to Margaret's streaming have had problems with billing and the streaming going down.

Romney Studio does look great but I wonder what the subscription price will be. The prices of their in-studio classes are high, so I'm thinking that subscription to their on demand classes will be high too. I signed up for their email list so before they launch their online studio maybe they'll offer some type of a deal.

I tried some Lauren Boggi's workouts on youtube in the past, and I like her but at 39.99/month it's a no go for me.

Personally, I'm not interested in receiving lifestyle and nutritional advice from the fitness instructors, so paying for that added feature is of no value to me. All I want is great, creative workout.

Like Dana posted above, I’m not looking for lifestyle or nutritional advice from instructors. I just want great workouts that make me feel really worked out!

Bounce Society seemed good with decent music and cuing but I cannot pry myself away from WOW(WalkingOnlineWorkouts) which is still one of the cheapest streaming options.
