Ellen Rotation.. Does One Exist?

For those who have the majority of all Ellen workouts, including Crunch, do you have a rotation? I am receiving just about all of Ellen's workouts through trades except for 2 or 3. I really want to commit to giving her a thorough try and making up a rotation of JUST her routines would be the best way to try all of them.

Normally making a rotation is pretty easy b/c you're dealing with weights and cardio. But Ellen's style/method is not traditional so I want to make sure I don't do similiar or back to back routines that should not be done day to day.

Thanks for the help.

Have a look here: http://forum.videofitness.com/showthread.php?t=180881

In the forum 'Combinations, Rotations, & Modifications' are probably others too, this is just the one I could find the quickest!

ETA: Gina, we cross-posted! You're faster than me!

Gina ~ Thanks for the break down of what is considered cardio, strength and stretch. I might venture to have one big rotation by blending all of them. I'm not big on doing strength two days in a row. This list will allow me to alternate days vs just purely one catagory.

ETA: Thanks Val for the link.

I had these rotations stored in a Word document from years ago. I don't know if they've already been posted, but here goes:

Ellen's Own Rotation for "The Studio" workouts
DVD Rotation?
January 18, 2010 by ellenbarrett

There are SIX STUDIO DVD workouts available now and it’s time to figure out the best way to use them for optimal results. One caveat…I want you to be “intuitive” about your exercise needs – you ask yourself, “How am I feeling today?” and make that your starting point sometimes. I know these workouts well as I didn’t just (merely) create them, I actually teach them to real people every week on an ongoing basis.

***FOR WEIGHT LOSS***

Monday - BAREFOOT CARDIO or FAT BURNING FUSION
Tuesday - YOGINI WORKOUT or FUSION FLOW
Wednesday - BAREFOOT CARDIO or FAT BURNING FUSION
Thursday - SLIM SCULPT or SKINNY SCULPT
Friday - BAREFOOT CARDIO or FAT BURNING FUSION
Saturday – “Cardio Galore” day, which means 90minutes or more of STEADY cardio. Go for long power walk or a hike or take a long bike ride…just aim for 90minutes or more – it’ll kick the fat-burning into high gear!

Sunday - day off from “formal” exercise but don’t be a couch potato

***For Tightening, Toning and Losing the Jiggle***

Monday – SLIM SCULPT or SKINNY SCULPT
Tuesday – BAREFOOT CARDIO or FAT BURNING FUSION
Wednesday – SLIM SCULPT or SKINNY SCULPT
Thursday – YOGINI WORKOUT or FUSION FLOW
Friday - SLIM SCULPT or SKINNY SCULPT
Saturday - YOGINI WORKOUT or FUSION FLOW then finish routine with 1minute of push-ups/1minute tricep dips/1minute of jumping jacks
Sunday - Day off from “formal exercise”

****To Increase Energy and/or Manage Stress***

Monday - YOGINI WORKOUT or FUSION FLOW
Tuesday – FAT BURNING FUSION or BAREFOOT CARDIO
Wednesday – day off
Thursday – YOGINI WORKOUT or FUSION FLOW
Friday - FAT BURNING FUSION or BAREFOOT CARDIO
Saturday - SLIM SCULPT or SKINNY SCULPT
Sunday – day off

Still working on my rotation. I notice at Collage that most of her routines are considered aerobic and toning. Very few have just one or the other as a label. Skinny and Slim Sculpt are labeled pure toning, but just about all others are mixed. Even Barefoot Cardio is labeled aerobic and toning.

I guess it will be a trial and error experience the first time through. I'll have to adjust and move them around as I see what each offers. I think of her method to be complex like Classical Stretch.

When doing other methods, (like the FIRM), you know what's really being worked, etc. Will I have a clearer picture of each once I do them? Am I in a fog due to not knowing her routines yet?

Tina, I'm looking at an Ellen rotation, too, but I've decided to do 3 days per week with Ellen and do cardio (treadmill or Leslie walks) on the alternate days. Because of my fitness level, I've picked the Ellen workouts that Collage Video lists as "beginner/intermediate" and "total body." I'm rotating through Crunch: Burn & Firm Pilates, Fusion Flow, and Express Belly Blast. (Her others seems to focus on lower body more.
My tentative plan, as I improve, is to incorporate more of her workouts in the future.
I'm training (early stages) for a 5K in the spring and I think this rotation will benefit my weight loss, strength, and stamina goals.
Hope this doesn't muddy your thoughts.
