Artist of Eyes, thanks for letting me know that the Extremely Ripped series is just 30 minutes each. Like you, I don't always have time for an hour, and it's hard for me to split a set workout - my OC kicking in, I guess. Those will be good for weeknights.

I've noticed that Jackie Warner does a lot of shoulder work, too. I'm not knowledgeable enough about shoulders to know why shoulders are worked so hard. Is it the vanity factor for sleeveless tops? Or is it beneficial for the upper body as a whole?
Some instructors think bigger shoulders make your waist look smaller and give you an optical illusion of an hourglass figure.
Thanks, PeakFitness. It's good to know that it's more about the visual effect and not a fitness issue. I can stick with my 2 pound weights for the shoulder for now.

It gives me the optical illusion of being a linebacker
In her newer workouts, Jari really (over)works the shoulders - but since it's often combined with a lower body move, I'll just hold the weights (or drop them) while continuing to work the legs.
