Question Frostyjan, did you buy new stability ball?

I'm hoping that your arm has completely healed by now.

Did you decide to get another ball? If so, what brand did you choose. I'm figuring you picked the best one that could be found.

My stability ball is old enough that I don't remember when I bought it...

I ordered a new one

Hi!
I got the one in the link below. I didn't get the best one I could find, because I lost my nerve to use it as bench for flys/presses or any exercise that calls for me sitting on it!

I am using my step as a bench/seat because I feel too vulnerable sitting on any kind of ball with weights in my hands.

My arm is healed, but unfortunately, I probably need a second surgery to get full range of motion in my wrist. I can't supinate enough to do a regular bicep curl and can't quite do tricep pushups with a straight elbow. A weird complication, but I am grateful to be as far along as I am right now!

I hope you find a really strong, anti-burst ball that you can have full confidence in!

frosty Jan so glad to hear you're getting better and hope you continue to improve.

You know I haven't used the stability ball as a weight bench since your other post. I only use it for stretching and some pilates ab/leg moves.

What are you still using your stability ball for?

Jan - I'm sorry you will have to go through a second surgery. Fingers crossed that all goes well and you can get back to normal. Thanks for the ball rec!

Linda - I have hesitated to do any ball work, too!

Thanks for the well wishes ladies!!

I am using my ball for hamstring, inner thigh and ab work.

Still plenty of uses, but the risk of using it with weights is greater than the reward at this point!

My favorite exercises on the ball, where I don't think I'd get hurt if it popped, is

1) the incline dumbell bicep curl. This takes a lot of compressive force off my spine when doing curls.

2) L-flys, which is a staple of mine to try to keep my shoulders healthy. It just happens to be a good height to prop my elbow on.

3) Shins on the ball push-ups. These are great when I haven't been doing push-ups regularly and I'm trying to build my strength back up.

I do love ab exercises on the ball, but until I get a new one, I'm avoiding them. I know my ball is over 10 years old, and I don't entirely trust it.

There's a Bob and Brad stability ball! That's kind of cool, but I just bought the URBNFit because I like big balls, I cannot lie, and I got the 85 cm one.

Hoping I caught a reference to a popular old school song. If not, I apologize for my one-track mind.

The one that also just happens to mention Jane Fonda?

I love that song. I sing it to my cats at least once a day.
