Which Fitness InstructorsHave a PT Background?
Hi everyone.....
I know Christine Ruby of PHI Pilates does, Tracy Mallet is affiliated with a PT and Wellness Center, Traci Long does and so does Sharon Money Twombly. I was just curious if anyone here knew of any others? Thanks. |

Not exactly physical therapy but the below instructors have impressive degrees:
Denise Beatty of Fitness Fix - B.Sc. Exercise and Health Physiology Michele Olson of Perfect Legs, Glutes, and Abs and 10 Minute Solution Kettlebell workout - background in exercise physiology Amy Dixon - Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology I only came across one with a background in Physical Therapy Abby Ellsworth of Pilates Body with Abby Ellsworth - Doctor of Physical Therapy

Caroline jordan, on youtube is a PT. I know there's others, and I've subscribed to several pages focused on mobility/alignment and performance. I wish I could think of them right now. I think one is called functional patterns, but I'm not sure.

Do you mean personal trainer or physical therapist? I know lots start out as personal trainers and then start teaching and doing DVDs. Debbie Siebers comes to mind. Lots of times you can tell because they don't mirror cue - because they haven't been trained to teach classes or cue. Again, Debbie Siebers comes to mind.

The Herbalife 24 DVD's were created by Robert Forrester who I think is a physical therapist or a sports medicine doctor. These DVD's especially Phase ! help me a great deal get back into exercising after a back injury.
