Please help with choosing which "sliding discs" for carpet

If any of you use the sliding discs (need them for carpet) which ones should I purchase. They are cheap at Walmart but I am wondering if Cathe's are better quality? I truly appreciate your help, Pam.

What kind of cheap sliding discs do they have @ Walmart?

I have furniture gliders (which are like Valslides) and the original Gliding discs (Mindy Mylrea's, which are the same as Cathe's, I think).

I use them both.
I find the Gliding discs do better with circular movements (sweeping movements) and moving laterally. Makes sense because of their shape. (But tend to clack together when doing forward/back lunges, which annoys me.)

The furniture movers do better with linear movements (front and back only). Because they are narrow/rectangular, I find they are a little jerky if I try to go to the side or make a arc motion.

I think they are equally comfortable and uncomfortable to use, though my foot does tend to slide off of/require readjusting on the Valslides more often than the discs.

BUT...by no means have I done thorough scientific research on this, LOL. These are just some quirks I've noticed (could be my carpet!)

I'd probably suggest trying the cheap ones out...

Cathe's don't work well on my carpet, they stick. I use Mindy's gliding discs and they work great. I just did Afterburn and was thinking that the dragging plank/staggard push up move would be so much harder for me if my discs didn't slide well.

I also have Mindy's gliding discs and they do work great on carpet ..... I also purchased Cathe's but have yet to use them to compare (I did some home renovations and had to put alot of my fitness items away and really need to take out alot of my things.)

Thanks for your replys. Since I received Cathe's low impact series I have not purchased any sliding discs that she uses in a lot of these dvd's. I may start with the ones from Mindy or maybe Walmart. I need them for carpet. Thanks again, Pam.

I use frisbees - $1 each at WalMart and they slide nicely. (I don't do workouts requiring them often enough to speak of their durability, however.)

I use paper plates on a carpet remenant(?sp).
I laminated the underside of my paper plates then sprayed pledge on them.
They work great!

I hated to buy yet one more piece of equipment.
