Denise Austin Fit Over 50 magazine

I bought this today at the store and also bought a copy of Home Workout Handbook. I hope there are some good things in these magazines, because truthfully, I’m just a tad sick to my stomach at spending $28.00 for 2 magazines.

Denise’s magazines are available through my library’s download site, which is generally pretty limited. Worth a look to avoid those prices!

Did Denise come out with a new one, because I bought one last year with that same title?

Yes, that’s it. I’m not at home right now, so I can’t look at them to give details, but I think I like The Home Workout Handbook a little better than Denise’s. They both show lots of exercises, but Denise’s also has a lot of recipes which I’m not really interested in and a 6-page fashion spread of Denise modeling different clothes which I don’t really understand the point of seeing how they aren’t workout clothes. The Denise magazine says “Winter 2023” on the cover. I’ll give more details when I get home.

These magazines are good motivators. Years ago at the beginning of each year, i would buy one of the magazines about success stories coupled with workout and eating plans for motivation. I also liked the "organize your year/house" magazines that also came out at the beginning of the year.

I discovered that many of these were repeated the following year, so i just saved a few from those years. They're still relevant, except for maybe some of the website recommendations that might disappear.

The Home Workout magazine has a test to see how flexible you are and a test to see how fit you are. I want to do those when I have time.
