I had to check my stats. I joined on 10/3/06 and I've posted 9 times. I still consider myself a lurker. I check this board almost every day.

Same...I lurked a very long time before joining. I discovered VF in the late 90s after I bought a few Firm videos and wanted to learn more. A search brought me here and I learned a lot about the Firm and many other instructors! I was intimidated to join and post myself. I didn't join until 2010!

Welcome out of lurkdom. It's good to hear stories other than the yappers and thread killers!

I think I lurked for a few months. I came over here after the old Firm Sparklist died (and the Mind Over Muscle forum imploded).

I discovered VF in 1997 in a very different format and I believe I began posting immediately, because it was the first indication I had that so many besides myself did the FIRM.

I don't remember. I think I signed up immediately. This forum was still thriving, imo, when I came. I loved the excitement of new dvd workouts to be released and the discussions on them. Oddly, my collection didn't take off until many years later. I was so happy with my 5 dvds at the time that I didn't see the need to buy more.

That's interesting because I also went for years happily using less than 10 VHS. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the discussions and circled countless workouts in collage catalogs, lol. I kept only 26 catalogs spanning 2005-2011. I'm really not sure why those made the cut but my kids will have to trash when I leave this planet because I'm not parting with them now

Do the catalogs have the color coded breakdown of the workouts? I think the catalog was phased out by the time I was buying from Collage. I do remember online had the minute breakdowns of cardio, cardio + weights, etc and I loved that! I wish Collage still had that. It made them very unique and my first fitness dvd purchase was through them because the detailed descriptions were helpful.

Now that I think about it, I think my collection grew rapidly once dvd productions started dwindling and streaming became the thing.

Yes, jusca they do! That's one of the main reasons I won't purge anymore. Sadly, I did purge a bunch.

I have a Stott VHS that a VFer gave me who taped the collage excerpt to the case.

P.S. Lmk if you need me to look up something for you. I'm happy to see if it's in the catalogs I have...but it has to be pre-2011
