Ditto! I didn't much care for the early Bar Method set covers either.

When I say 'boobage' I'm talking about boobs spilling out of the bra or bubbling over.

The video that gets to me is a Firm Transfirmer video with Allie in the lead. I can't remember the real name of it now as I have dubbed it the Boobie workout. She's wearing a too-small black bra and her boobs are just all over the place. I find it distracting.

I am a prude and I fully admit that. I just ignore the boob and crotch/butt shots in videos because I want/need to workout. I'd prefer women to be a bit more dressed.

My son is 14. He sees less in my videos than he's exposed to in the real world, so it doesn't bother me if he is passing by when I'm working out. When I got The Firm's 20 Questions six months ago, I had him sit down and watch it with me so we could learn together. OMG, there were naked men and women in that! Gee, did I hear jokes about that for awhile.

You (or we) are not offended by a woman's breasts in and of themselves, it's the setting. It's similar to wearing a micro-miniskirt to a party...but not to church!

So...it's not a matter of subject, but context. Therefore, we are not prudes!

Double ditto! What's up with the "diaper" look?

I never bought JS' Brand New Butt because of the cover, either. I was afraid someone would think it was porn.

I am glad to hear that Ana Brett has finally put some clothes on. She always looked like she was working out in her underwear.

I'm old, I guess, I think bras are underwear even if they *aren't* white.

I breastfed 2 kids in public, and while I didn't let them swing naked all over the place, I didn't wrap myself in a shroud, either. (Or one of those pink-and-blue teddy-bear nursing shawls that screams "I'M NURSING!" to anyone in sight.) I just found a discreet corner and did the job.

But there's a time and place - the cover of that Lorna Kleidman book where she poses naked with a kettlebell held in a strategic position, turns me off.

Thanks to the Raviana workouts and all the bellydance workouts I do at home, where the instructor has a bare midriff, my 3 y.o. son thinks you had to have your bellybutton showing in order to exercise!

Well, I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Honestly, I know I can't keep my kids from seeing these things, and it's not that he sees them that bothers me. I'm just used to being able to work out with him around, and I've always been conscious of the message my lifestyle habits send to him. I'm not embarassed to do any other vids in front of him, and,in general, I feel that the overall message he gets in this regard is that I value exercise and fitness and think they're important. I'm proud to be an example of that for him. I just don't want him to misunderstand and think that the reason I'm doing these workouts is because I want to look "hot" or "sexy," or that I think my real value (or any woman's) is defined by her looks. It's not that I think there's something wrong with working out for aesthetic reasons (and to some extent, I care about aesthetics, too). I'm not trying to protect him from the world, per se, I'm just very conscious of the message I'm sending him about what my own values are. So far, I haven't seen any indication that he's even noticed the workouts (he usually doesn't, except for Cathe, who he thinks "does tough boy exercises"). If it weren't for my kids, I probably would have barely noticed.

I actually didn't notice the fanny slapping until DH pointed it out to me. It's funny. Chalene mentions somewhere in the series that when she gets together with her friends, they get together to exercise. Do you think they fanny slap instead of high-fiving each other? I guess it's no worse than what baseball players do!
