I bought a Wii!

Even though I work in video games, I rarely buy consoles because we always had them in the office (until we shut down our office in 2018 and went all remote). Recently I was remembering how fun it was to play Wii Sports and some of the other movement-focused games, and figured it would be a good way to get more movement into my day, so I acquired a refurbished system and some games:

Sports Resort
Walk it Out
Grand Slam Tennis
Ski & Shoot

I've done Walk it Out twice now and was surprised at how quickly I worked up a sweat. It's nearly impossible for me to click on the bubbles unless I stop however. The remotes I got are aftermarket and not quite as accurate as the official ones.

Is anyone else still using their Wii? Any suggestions for other good games that work up a sweat that aren't the dancing games or specifically exercise focused like Wii Fit?

We still play the WiiU occasionally. We actually like the fitness games. We have Wii Fit Plus, EASports Active and EASports Active More Workouts. Sometimes we play WiO, too (we all had to start our islands over when we upgraded from Wii to WiiU).

We still use the Wii if the weather is too bad for an after-dinner walk. Usually it's bowling.

I love the Wii Balance games and Balance tests! When I first started using the Wii, I got really good at the soccer game with perfect scores every time. If I don't do it for a while, I get a lot of shoes to the face!

One of the games has a hula hoop game that will get your heart going.

I really liked Walk It Out, but for some reason it bothered my knees. I should give it a try again.

I still use my Wii. I like the Gold's Gym workouts especially their boxing workouts, the Cardio Workout and Dance Workout. Exerbeat is another good one. I do the Just Dance workouts with my grandchildren. The Zumbas are a lot of fun also.

Exerbeat is on my list, and boxing sounds fun!

I still play Wii with my DD and her dad. We (DD and I) just played Lapins Cretins a bit tonight. We love Just Dance, we also have the Wii Fit Plus with the balance and Wii Sports. I will have to check the ones you mentioned!

I noticed yesterday that my lower back wasn't too happy. I think the exaggerated movements I'm making to get the steps to register aren't the greatest form.

I don’t like marching in place, so I used to do WiO on my rebounder. Idk if that’s an option for you.
