Vannie, I know my pelvic alignment goes out to some degree while I'm sleeping. The dogs always get me up once during the night too and that doesn't help either so I always get up a little wonky. Glutes play a huge role in my pelvic misalignment which includes all kinds of pain(including the knees). It seems when I get the glutes firing correctly, it all moderates for the better. I hope I can keep it up and don't get derailed again by anything. For some reason, Cori's wall sidelying is really clicking with my body. I hope you can get similar results if not from her, then someone else. It is really a challenge to find the right match and it amazes me how long I've been doing lateral side raises but tweaking it with the wall is the ticket! Go figure!

Yesterday I was in the kitchen most of the day so no workouts. Today I struggled to find energy for anything. I folded some laundry but that was pretty much it for housework. I did do a Halloween Zumba warmup, Jill Miller's YTU hips and butt floor massage, Caroline Jordan 15-min Glute Activation workout, and a 20 min Fightmaster Halloween yoga practice.

We've had a lot of high wind gusty days recently so not getting some good walks in unfortunately. I've been active with a lot of youtube clips though and have been eating waaay too much! Time to check it down.

Vannie I got the most recent LL Bean catalog and saw their snowshoes. They look so tempting but I still don't think I'm ready for them even though I've made progress. Maybe one more year I hope. I think this could be a really good place to use them. Do you notice if they have an effect on your hips?

Katie, what type of effect do you mean? I feel more work in my outer hip/glute area since I have to walk with a little wider stance bc of the width of the snowshoes. The lateral leg raises should be good prep work for that!

Vannie Great! I'm doing lateral leg work pretty much daily and with the recent tweaks I've made, getting a little more out of it. I'm still seeing the PT that specializes in restrictions to mobility and myofascial release. I see her about once a month and she continues to be helpful. Lord willing, maybe I'll get to go the snowshoe route next winter.

Today was a really nice day to be out walking and mess with the horses. Our aussie, Scout, is 1 yr old today. He was so tiny when we got him mid January. He and Belle have have a great time running and sabotaging each other. He's pretty good natured and still a lot of puppy. Keeps us on our toes.
