I’ve had the same nutribullet for years! It chops fruits and veggies in a protein shake really well, never had any chunks.

I love my Cuisinart Smart Power blender for smoothies. But it’s over 20 years old, so not sure what the newer ones are like. I didn’t use it much until recently, I’ve had dental work and have to eat soft food. It works great, it has lots of different settings. I use Purée or Liquefy for smoothies.

I also have a vitamix that I bought refurbished and many years later it is still going strong even after using it pretty much daily sometimes more than once. We love our breakfast green smoothies.

Google refurbished Vitamix and you'll get some hits. I recently bought one for myself at my mothers house I am there a lot. I got another refurb and it works great too. They are pricey but it has been totally worth it.

Another vote for Vitamix. I bought mine used from Costco almost 15 yrs ago and it still runs like a champ. Such a powerful piece of kitchen equipment.

I had the Blendtec for 9 years before it started acting up. I bought the Vitamix because everyone raved about it. I don’t like it but waited to long to return it so I’m stuck with it. I recommend Blendtec!

Another Blendtec fan. It wasn't inexpensive but it has been worth every penny. I like to make pureed soups in the winter time and this blender makes them come out like velvet. Easy to clean, too.

I bought a Blendtec 11 or 12 years ago. I use it to make nut butters, to make smoothies, to grind flaxseed, to make humus, to make pancakes—any runny dough (it doesn't knead. for that I have a Kitchen Aid mixer). Someone above write that her blender turns ice into snow. So does my Blendtec. I love the thing. I've NEVER had a problem with it, worth every single penny.

I'm late to the discussion, but I keep talking myself out of the pricy blender upgrade.

I've got a KitchenAid that was well reviewed by America's Test Kitchen some years ago, and it still works quite well.

Do I want a fancy blender? YES!!! I want that sort of speed control. Not a huge deal, really, but I'm wanting it.

FWIW, I do have a newer food processor, (Cuisinart) that I really do use. I guess in general it does the sort of stuff I'd want, so the super fine puree/snow thing is not really essential for my cooking needs.
