HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATH TEACHER!!! Hope your day is going good!!

amg, wow great job on the camping! Where are you located that it doesn't stay cold for more than a couple days?? I think I need to go "camp out" there, LOL!!//I'm so glad home schooling is going so well for you! I know you were concerned about trying that out. That is so great especially with all the sickness around and that your DS doesn't have an issue with it (a lot of kids do, believe me, as well as the moms!!). Some can't wait until the kids get on that bus, LOLOL!

Jane, so glad your dad is home again and feeling better! Thanks for sharing what kind of shoes you wear with PF. So are you saying you wear those loafer-types with a dress (a.k.a. pantyhose)?? That would be COLD! Or are they for pants? I have a hard time wearing my cushiony Skechers with skinny jeans (and not boots)....for warmth as well as looking silly (esp. if my jeans are shorter!)....so I usually resort to my boots with inserts (mostly for appearance!). But you are definitely on your feet more at work than I am, so there's that too. My foot hurts after Yvette's/high impact workouts AND after yoga, so my w/o doesn't make much difference in that respect! I wish I could get the pain to go away; I've been rolling it with a massage ball and that helps temporarily....but I'm not up to going to the Dr. about it...just yet!!

Hope everyone is staying warm!

Math Teacher - Happy Birthday!!!

Bex - Hi! I look forward to your posts in Feb.

Elsie - My dizziness could have been blood pressure related since I did take a Zyrtec D that morning. It had been awhile since I needed one.

Jane - So good to hear your dad is on the mend.

AMD - I am about 45 mins away from New Orleans. While the winters here aren't real winters, the summer heat is unbearable. We often joke around here that we get all four seasons in a week (or sometimes a day ) with our crazy weather.

When we started school at home, it was a hard transition for both of us. We had to be adjustable and keep trying different programs and teaching/ learning styles for each subject. Now, we are flowing pretty easily through the curriculum and I wouldn't trade the extra time with him for anything.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Liz - I hope your Mom continues to adjust to her new surroundings and that she has made some new friends and her social calendar is busy. Praying that Mr. Moo has taken a chill pill, too.

Edited: Took out the WW info, will send a PM.

Jane - glad your Dad is better. It is so hard to find comfortable shoes when you have to do a lot of walking at work. Sending healing vibes your way.

bex - good to see you back! Hope you’re settled in now.

Elsie - you’re doing great with your workouts. I’m itching to try Lift with Cee but that probably won’t happen until summer.

amg - any recommendations for pickleball paddles? Maybe I should check Target for ball/paddle. I’m looking forward to going out as soon as it’s above freezing. Glad the homeschooling is going well.

AMD - I wanted to go to Aldi’s today but it’s in the single digit/teens so couldn’t make myself go out today.

AsSweet - good job with Pure Spice. High five to your DD for hanging in there with you for at least 20 minutes. Definitely Christi’s interpretation of Zumba. I think it was about 3rd time before it flowed better for me. I thought it was weird that she didn’t cue at all.. I have to be in the mood for it, for sure, but I always enjoy it once I get started.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! I gave a test today so I had a great day. I can't say the same for my students! LOL

The Razorbacks play tonight so my day just keeps getting better.

Math Teacher Happy Birthday!!!!! I am glad you are having a great day!!

Jane, I am so happy to hear you are dad is doing so much better!!!

Bex, glad you are coming back next month!

T2B, thanks! I am glad to know I am not alone, hopefully I will like it better next time too. I don't have any Patricia Moreno wo, I was always curious but never ended getting one of her DVDs, it is sad she passed away at such a young age.

Liz, I hope your mom will continue to improve in her new place and can make good friends there.

Elsie, I hope you are getting more zzzz these days. About my neighbors, they have been a bit more quiet lately.

Chrys, wishing for good results with your tests, and that you get to feel back as yourself again.

Waves!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

JANE
What a HUGE relief with your Dad!! Great to hear.

AMD
DH had PF for a few years - VERY painful! Did the whole Dr/specialist routine, steroid injections, $700 orthotics. He eventually threw those away as nothing worked UNTIL he started going barefoot more often - especialy walking on sand. He's had no sign of it for many years now. Everyone will be different I expect, but that's his story with it.

Short on time lately - back to work tomorrow.

Made my last week of holidays productive in the yard - repotting, shifting things around (digging up & planting elsewhere), and DH & I have spent today with Alice (our red standard poodle) at the beach. She finally clicked with swimming! She's 4 and we'd tried so many different ways to help her learn - we'd almost given up, but the cogs clicked into place today.

It's my evening workout time - going to do it!!

Thank you, Helen, for sharing what worked for your DH with his PF. Glad his is gone for good. I *wish* I had some sand nearby to walk on & run through my toes!! Wow, I hope I don't have to resort to buying $$$orthotics$$$! I'm not even 100% sure I have PF...could be where my flare-up decided to hang out. I *can't* go barefoot on my hard tiled floors...first thing I do when I get up is put on my arch-supported sandals! Just too painful otherwise. Thanks for your suggestion, though!! Love hearing what works for others.//Sounds like you got a lot accomplished on your vacation! Good for you!! Ha, the only thing I got accomplished this month (so far) is some trim painting around the house and the grout scrubbed on one of the tiled bathroom floors!!! SOOO much less than what I had accomplished last January! But as my DH reminded me, I was taking care of my mom a lot more this January which I guess is very true.

ETA: I found this at the end of my January '21 notes:

I've got SO much accomplished this month around my house: Cleaned the kitchen cabinets/island inside/polished outside; cleaned the back splash; cleaned the refrigerator/freezer; defrosted my deep freezer; cleaned the linen cabinets; cleaned the grout in all the tiled floors (this was a MAJOR accomplishment, as my hands and knees hate this task!); started getting my recipes organized in my cute, little recipe organizer from Hobby Lobby! Also got a few bags ready for Good Will. Still need to get to some closets yet....

See what I mean??

ETA2: Ok, seeing how little I accomplished this month in writing, LOL, I got motivated and went outside and cleaned up my 100's of pokey balls that dropped from my Sweet Gum tree. I've been putting this task off for quite awhile. (It's been too cold, snowy though. It's a balmy 36* out there today!). I got a big, overflowing lawn waste bag full!! [I got most of them - I didn't bother with the ones that were frozen to the ground or covered in snow].

~~~Waves~~~Wishing everyone a great workout today!!
I was going to share my experience with PF. Many years ago when I was going through my single phase I developed another severe addiction to add to my video addiction - dancing. I was dancing at least 4 days a week. On Sunday I usually danced for 5 hours. One night the pain in one of my feet was getting horrible but I refused to stop. I literally hopped out of the dance hall on one foot. Fortunately I found a solution in a VF thread and it saved my dancing addiction. Here is what helped me - https://www.amazon.com/Heel-That-Pai..._dp&th=1&psc=1
I still use these when I have flare ups.
