Retro Themed Workout Weekend August 12-15

A retro workout is one that is from the 70's-90's. They usually wear spandex, leg warmers, headbands, and have funky older settings. I've posted a YouTube list for those that might not have any older VHS tapes. Please don't feel limited to doing only workouts that are on my list :-)

There’s absolutely no pressure to do a certain amount of workouts. It would just be an opportunity to do something different than usual for one weekend a month. It’s all about having fun!

We could (if there’s any interest) start doing a monthly weekend theme on workouts. For example we could do retro, celebrity, holiday, pet/animal, band or walking workouts.

Oh i like that idea! What's considered retro? 80's? 90's?

I've been looking for Susan Anton's Slimatics for such a long time. I used to have both of her VHS workouts and was so disappointed they were never available on DVD. I don't think I can wait until August to do it! I recognize all of the other workouts you listed -- I think I did all of them, except for the Crystal Light Workout. I only did the aerobics portion.

I think I'm going to love doing the retro-themed workouts!

Probably the 70’s through early 90’s. It’s mainly how they’re dressed (leotards, sweatbands, leg-warmers, etc.) and have their hair fixed. Once you see it, you’ll know it :-) Remember, it’s more about having fun than picking the perfect retro workout. I will also be posting lots more retro workouts. I just need a little time to find them.

Would it be better to do a theme for each weekend during a month? It would give people more opportunities to participate. There's no need for anyone to feel that they'd have to do a themed workout each week. Or do you think it's better just to do a theme for one weekend per month?

If it feels retro to you, I say it's retro! Thinking about my DVDs, the original Buns of Steel would certainly count, and I think the Crunch yoga does too, cause that gym is just so 90s.
