OT: Pseudo gout or CPPD arthritis?

Is anyone familiar with a form of arthritis called pseudo gout or CPPD? I am just recovered from a broken foot and then I slipped in my own back yard and sprained my wrist. I got an xray because it was quite painful, but it was not broken. However, the xray showed that I have this type of arthritis, and now my doctor wants me to see a rheumatologist. No one sees a rheumatologist for anything good.

I suffered my first attack of gout last week. It seems like the treatments for that and pseudo gout are rather similar - first treat the flare-up with a steroid, then colchicine...can't really offer much knowledge, just empathy! My right foot was so painful that I could not walk! Went to an urgent care clinic and got prednisone. It took 3 days before I could really walk, let alone work out, again.
