Barefoot & on the Mat: Welcome JUNE 2023, and Welcome Lurkers/New Checkin Buddies!

Happy June everyone! I saw that Pam posted a quote for June on Facebook, and that reminded me that we would need a new thread (last month I was late, LOL). Here's a different June quote that I found:

Welcome to regulars plus anyone lurking or brand new! If you are in the latter category, this is a long-running checkin that has had many different names. Many of us are yoga and Pilates enthusiasts, but we enjoy any workout that we can do without shoes - barre, CS/Essentrics, and yes even cardio and weight training! And of course even if you wear shoes you are welcome.

There are no "rules" for this checkin - post or lurk, list your workouts or not. Of course, we would love to "see" you, so kick off your shoes and stop by to say hello some time!

Popping in to say hello! I hope everyone is well!

I got home from Canmore late Monday night after a fabulous fun weekend with the girls. The weather was beautiful! Tuesday morning DH and I headed down to Victoria for a little family reunion at DS1’s with some family we haven’t seen since before Covid. We head home later today. I need to get back at my workouts!

Thanks for starting us off Beth & thanks for the links! I love June, summer is almost here!

~ Restorative yoga class
~ 4,567 steps

Beth, thanks for the June check-in! I'll have to try your hip flexor routine soon, it sounds good for after PT.

Sandra, I hope the knee brace helps and that you keep feeling better.

Nice to see you pop in Pam, you sure have been busy having fun!

~PT Pilates exercises
~YDL: Grounded & Rooted

Pat - I love crab walks, they just feel so effective. And I had a very enjoyable week, loved every minute!

Hi all - that server error is annoying! There's a thread on GD wondering what is happening here at VF with Wendy MIA.

I don't remember if I shared that I'm going to a yoga festival tomorrow, NYS Yogafest. I've never been, but I'm going with a few friends who went pre-pandemic. It's basically a day-long experience of yoga classes, venders, nature, etc.:

One cool thing is that the state park where it is being held is sometimes called "the Grand Canyon of the east" - it has a larger waterfall and gorges. So, if we get tired of the yoga, we can walk around on our own. It will be a long day though!
