Vannie has been left to entertain herself!!

So...

LILI
Have a wonderful birthday month!!

VANNIE
Are you taking on Kassandras's mental challenges as well? I started it this morning - the stretch for day 1.
Weird that you should say "disturbance in the force" as that's EXACTLY the phrase Kay used when she messaged me to let me know she was in Sydney!

CLEDA
You need to get back here so that sharing can commence.

I have BEGUN the Kassandra challenge - this morning, as it's the first day of my holidays. (Just 2 weeks)
Monday 3rd
looong evening walk with Alice
Tuesday 4th
Tony Horton - P90 Masters - Sweat 5-6 with Kathryn
Wednesday 5th
60min, brisk walk

Vantreesta - Sorry to leave you here by yourself! The channel was from Dr. Bri's Pelvic Health. I'm not sure how effective they are, as I only did them 1 day. I'm back to doing Kegels daily, but was looking for something else.
Helen - Does that mean that you will be meeting Kay? That would be awesome! Enjoy your break.
Cleda - It's pretty bad when I show up more often than you do!

4/4 - dog walk and mowed the lawn
4/5 - dog walk
Hike, 6.4 miles (although hubby's Garmin always tracks more mileage).
Gardening for 1 1/2 hours
4/6 - dog walk
more gardening
Lift w/ Cee FB31
20 min. Walking Workout w/ Improved Health
4/7 - dog walk
Day 1 Beginner Trampoline Challeng w/ Michelle Briehler
Jessica's Cardio HIIT

I already met Kay and Art! Last Tuesday night. Spent 2 hours with them. Had I not driven down after work, would have carried the regret forever.

Friday
Kassandra - April Morning Challenge -Day 1
lots of housework
hour-long evening dog walk

Will be back to report

Although, there is not much to report.

I hand my month over to you guys, cuz obviously ... It is NOT my month as I had hoped it would be. However, no time like the present to start again.

Gotta run to the store.
Be back later.

Helen - I'm so glad you got to meet Kay & Art! That's so nice.
Cleda - None of us have been crushing it, so don't beat yourself up. We're still here to cheer you on when the motivation strikes you.
Waves to Vantreesta!

4/8 - dog walk
Day 2 of Beginner Trampoline Workout
Stranger Things Dance/Walk w/ Gina B

Today will be a rest day. We are hosting a birthday get together and I've spent the day cooking and cleaning. I doubt that I'll feel like doing anything after.

Happy Easter!

Helen, I haven't been doing the mental challenges of Kassandra's challenge. On day 1 we weren't home and then I just haven't been interested in doing them. Had I done day one I might have been more motivated. Except the one where she said no devices for three hours. What?!? Yeah, not likely to happen under every day circumstances. That's too funny that Kay used the same terms!

Lili, I use Dr. Bri's channel a lot. Also Dr. Melissa Oleson's. Both seem very helpful. It seems so weird to me to think of gardening when nothing is green here! There are a few dirty piles of snow left here and there but it's pretty much melted in my part of the state. We could hit 83 on Wednesday!

Cleda, we all have times when we need to back off a little from our usual exercise regimen. Sometimes it's just bc life gets in the way but sometimes scaling back for a while can be a healthy thing!

I had planned to run on Saturday but we ran errands and went to lunch and got back just in time for the Twins pregame so I didn't end up doing anything workout wise. We did have a productive day other than during the game though so I didn't beat myself up for not working out. Sunday I went to church and then watched the Twins and then another game after that. It was a nice relaxing day and it was so good to finally get back to church.

Last Monday it was like 46 when I ran. Today it was 68 and very warm. It feels so good to be running again, even if the run intervals are short. And listening to baseball while I do it just makes it even better.

I've watched Kassandra's mind challenges, but have also not acted upon them. Probably SHOULD though.

CLEDA
It's not too late to make April more solid (!) If you WANT to. I'm with Vannie there. - the last few days I've felt much better - UNschlumped myself.

LILI
I've been saving more YouTube walk/dance to modern music - in anticipation of cold nights - something with no dread and a fun factor to get me up & out of the heated zone of the house. Once I've done ONE thing that isn't a killer, I'm more likely to do something tougher the same day.
Nothing like expecting guests to motivate getting housework done - hehe.

Sunday
Day 2 Kassandra's April Challenge
2 hour walk with Alice
Cathe - Rhythmic Step - Combos 2&3 Mix, with Kathryn
triceps sore (!!!) from Muscle Meltdown
Monday
Cathe - STS 1 - Chest Shoulders Biceps - glad triceps weren't in it, still VERY sore
Day 3 Kassandra's April Challenge
Tuesday
Day 4 Kassandra's April Challenge
Cathe - RWH - Lift It Hit It - Legs, with Kathryn
still avoiding triceps

Wednesday noonish now and feel like I've wasted the entire morning - can't let myself slip back - what do I need? A LIST!!

Possible things to do - so no excuse for stalling with inactivity:
ETA started to rain, so options curtailed
daytime
• walk Alice will need to catch a rain-break
• bath Alice probably not on rainy day
• trip out for plants for indoor vertical garden
• pot the above in wall-planter nope
• weeding - especially the cacti - ugh nope
• repot yet another Bromeliad - they've been flowering lately, SO nice!! nope
• vacuuming
could be done when dark
• marking for work
• STS 2 Back Shoulders Triceps (that could hurt, triceps still sore)
• Kassandra's Day 5 April Challenge
• up to attic to hunt a pattern for Cait's jumper - wants a classic French-style navy/white Breton stripe wide neck, finer knit.

Ok, so writing that list has me all fired up to DO something
Happy Wednesday

Good Golly!!!

I really haven't checked in since April 1st? SERIOUSLY? Ugggg. Ok, here I am to get caught up.

Helen: Love the pic of Alice. So cute. Lists, motivation, you got it going on.

Lili: I think going forward, the instructors won't be referencing the songs. (Obviously!) I've done a few rows, some with my own music, some with theirs and I don't mind the canned music at all. I think it's more in the background. It will work itself out. We've all been through these times with VF, Peloton, now Hydrow, etc, etc. It's the cycle of (exercise) life!

Vantreesta: Getting back into routine(s)! :: waves ::

ok, let's see ... here goes:

4/2/2023: Kendall Toole 30 mins. (blech!), 20 mins. Bradley Rose, 20 mins. Ben Aldis, 10 mins. Back Mobility

4/3/2023: Row 20 mins., Greatest Showman ride 30 mins (love it)

4/4/2023: REST DAY
4/5/2023: REST DAY

4/6/2023: Bradley Rose 20 mins. Classical ride + 5 mins. Cool down ride

4/7/2023: Rest Day
4/8/2023: REST DAY

4/9/2023: 30 mins. Breathe Row Steady State, 30 mins. Hannah Corbin Vinyl Vault ride (blech!), 30 mins. low impact ride with Sam Yo (double yuck!), 5 mins. Cool dwon ride --- wasted workouts although my body thanks me. I don't like when I don't do rides that I enjoy.

4/10/2023: 30 mins. Arms & Intervals with Emma Lovewell

4/11/2023: 30 mins. Drive row, 5 mins. cool down row, 5 mins. Standing Core

I guess I just needed rest (or something ) last week. One day leads to another and another. We all know how it goes.

I'm listening to several podcasts which are interesting. Don't ask me what they are ... Oh wait - Huberman labs. and Brain Power or something like that.

I did not like the rides I did on Sunday and that annoys me. But with thousands of rides, I feel like I should branch out. But then it bothers me when I don't enjoy them. So, I go back to ones that make me happy. I did Emma's arms and Intervals (and she threw in some tabata - ha! if I'dda known that, I would have passed) but it was a great workout.

Like I mentioned with Hydrow - I think I like their music better than my own. It's generic, blends into the background and some is familiar. I'll keep experimenting.

I Cancelled Bellicon. If I could get it on my tv in the workout room (even the "home" one) I'd still keep it. But alas! I cannot and they don't seem to care, so Buh-bye.

We're in a wonderful weather pattern right now with temps in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I'll take it. Today will be pickleball. Outside. I thought I played before, but I suppose it's been about 2.5 weeks now. Doggone it. Where does the time go? Oh wait - work and all.

So anyway ...... That's me in a nutshell.
Gotta run. Need to do a workout, figure out some type of rotation (I'm done with my challenge) and move onward.

I (think)! I'm back.

So good to see everyone checking in! As Cleda said, the weather here has been getting better and better, which inspires me to get outside for more than dog walks.
Vantreesta - We are in full on Spring here with different flowers blooming all the time. This is my favorite time of year! I do think we are running a few weeks earlier than usual for most blooms, but I don't know for sure.
Cleda - Sounds like you have been pretty steady with the workouts.
Helen - The walk/dance workouts are my go to when I don't feel like working out! If I can add a short weight workout, then I feel like I have accomplished something.

4/10 -4 Mile hike and a dog walk
4/11 - Mowing, most of the yard, need to finish today

Thanks for the birthday wishes, but my b-day isn't until the 22nd.
