Insane Focus! Shaun Week on BBOD

Just when I was starting to think that I wasn't using beachbody on demand enough, they came out with Shaun week: 7 new workouts, Insane Focus, led by Shaun T. These are tougher than Focus T25. Julie is the modifier and she doesn't jump (I am forbidden to jump); I follow her & get a great workout.

Anyone else doing these?

Yes, I did day one- Insane Basics yesterday and today I did day two - Pure Cardio. I enjoyed both workouts. Years ago, I did a rotation of Insanity and these workouts, though not a tough as Insanity, are enjoyable. They are just the right length and I enjoyed the variety of moves. When I did not feel like jumping, I followed the modifier. She did a great job modifying the workouts.

I think they are all between 30-40 minutes. There are only two available right now - they're releasing a new one each day of the week this week (I think). I'm not sure if there are 7 new workouts, or a 7 day rotation with less workouts.

There are/will be 7. There is a calendar that lists 7. Click on Program Materials -
Insane Basics
Pure Cardio 2
Insane Weights
25 Abs
Ripsanity
Speed 4.0
Dig Deep

I think these are meant to be midway between Focus T25 and Insanity.

Do you think they'll eventually release them on DVD?

I am not sure but so far Beachbody has not released any of their BBOD exclusive workouts on DVD.

I wonder if this is a test run for a future Shaun T set? Like they're testing the waters and looking for feedback.

I did the day three workout- Insane Weights today. The cardio and toning intervals were all very manageable. To me, this was a metabolic or cardio/tone workout. As Shaun said, this workout is really not about the weight of the dumbbells used, but to keep moving and use good form. He is very encouraging and not as driving as he was in Insanity. He gives encouraging remarks during the breaks and most of the breaks are even slightly longer than in any of the Asylum workouts. I am looking forward to seeing what he has in store for us for day 4.
