I've read several by Kate Morton and really like them too, although I do sometimes feel the build-up to the "secret" is over-long/over-done.

Happy New Year!

I read Kelly Rimmer’s Me Without You as my last book of 2023. It was just ok.

I just started the Book of Ruth. Thanks for the recommendation Kathy G.

I finished Tom Lake, which was excellent. I look forward to reading more of Ann Patchett. I have The Heights by Louise Candlish in transit to my library for me. I finished the Our House series based on another book by her and it was horrifying, but I never knew what was going to happen from one second to the next. I'll see if I like her writing.

I have a noteboook where I’ve logged every book I’ve read since 2015. I’ve not managed to make the transition to digital record-keeping.

These past few weeks I have snuggled down deep and read a series of cozies.
A.W. Hartoin’s Dead Companions series (4 so far) was fun.

Lauretta Hignett’s Foils & Fury series was fun but a little preachy at times.

G.J. Daily - The Tinker & the Witch was good…but maybe I hoped it would have a longer ending? Idk, maybe it’s the start of a series.

Drew Hayes - started his Fred the Vampire Accountant series (I love love love Drew Hayes! I’ve read almost everything he’s put out, and he’s prolific).

Currently, I'm reading:

A Cold-Blooded Business by Dana Stabenow. This is the 3rd or 4th in the series and I've loved every book until now. This book has been hard going so far. I'm hoping it will settle into a better rhythm.

Deep Fake by Ward Larsen - This has been a wild ride of a thriller and it has kept me engaged the whole time.

The Spy Coast by Tess Gerritsen - This was a free Prime book, I think. Anyway, it has been good and has kept my attention.

I recently finished these:

A Winter to Remember by Roisin Meaney
Exit Stage Left by Madeline G Wheeler
Infection by M.P. MacDonald
Radcliffe Ladies' Reading Club by Julia Thomas

I have the sequel to The Maid waiting for me at the library, so that will likely be my first novel of the new year.

I finished reading Tripwire by Lee Child and I enjoyed that one.

I've started:
Being Henry: The Fonz . . . and Beyond by Henry Winkler
Resurrection Walk (Lincoln Lawyer) by Michael Connelly
