What were you doing when you were in the best shape

Call me curious.

I was in my best shape, not counting when I was 18 and could eat anything and workout 3 days a week, in my early to mid 30s.

I primarily did Firm, Cathe and Tae Bo.

I'm not sure why I ever quit doing mostly those workouts. Maybe I should just go back to what worked best for me cause I have a feeling, that combo would still kick my butt pretty well.

So, what was it for you? What workouts gave you, your best body? The body you think looked or looks, the best.

I was doing 60-min Classic Firms 5-6 days per week exclusively. VHS. I did it because I loved it, and not because I thought it would give me "results". I also was in my 20's and 30's.

I would have to say frequent CKO kickboxing classes and Cathe DVDs. I was in my mid thirties. I had a very strong and fit look (for me)

ETA: My next best look came from following a Drop 2 Sizes rotation in my early 40's. Which i why I am finally revisiting it again This one made me smaller/more compact, while keeping my strength. Hoping this time to shrink down some of the extra fluff and regain some lost strength.

Walking and Callanetics as far as looks. As far as strength, Pilates. I thought kettlebells and weights were making me strong, but I was humbled with my first Pilates session (via an instructor). DVDs work for me now, but once I started personalized instruction I was shocked...and I still can do heavy weights if I want to, but I don't.

Musclemax and Turbokick. BUT I was 10 years younger and still having periods. I think that made a lot of difference between then and now.

Doing the original Firm vols 1 and 2 in my 20s, 2-3x a week, and eating what I wanted (but what I wanted was usually at least somewhat healthy). Never recall weighing myself and I never lifted more than 8 lbs but man did I get lean and cut.

ITA, Gina. Except once I got vols 1 & 2, in true vidiot manner (even then!) I bought sight-unseen the rest of the so-called "classics" and continued down that path ever since. No diets, no weigh-ins then, and yet I was at my best weight and shape. I AM chalking this up to my age at that stage of my life. Now? I'm doing "this and that", and I'm doing OK. I think.

My late 20s and early 30s. I was running and swimming daily. And eating junk.
