Blenders

I need to get a new blender. Mainly for smoothies, if I'm being honest. My small Magic Bullet is wearing out, so I thought about looking at something a little bigger. I really don't want to break the bank on one. My main need is being able to break down the foods well enough to smoothie texture.

(Spinach is one ingredient that needs to be pulverized. LOL Along with other veggies I'd like to add in).

What do you use and are you happy with it?

Hi Tina!
I have a very old plain Oster blender. I bought my son the current version about 3 years ago (approx. $20) and it has worked well for him as well.

I have a Salton Harley Pasternak blender. Bed Bath & Beyond carries them. It's the cheaper answer to a Vitamix. It works very well. It will grind ice into fine snow. I got mine on a sale for $50 or so a few years ago.

I've never regretted my Vitamix, which I originally bought refurbished. It handles both light and heavy tasks with ease and the company is amazing. My 7 year warranty was nearly up when I began to have some issues, and after completing the troubleshooting they asked me to do and it was still having issues, they promptly paid for me to send it back to them and I had a new one within a week or two. That was in 2017 and no issues since. It's an initial investment but I find it worthwhile to support such a good company... Plus, I figure that I probably would have spent as much on cheaper, inferior blenders over the many years that I've had mine.

Another vote for Vitamix.

Vitamin all the way. Buy a refurbished one. It will be much cheaper and every bit as good.

I love my Vitamix. I've had it well over a decade and it still works perfect.

I still love and use my Nutri Ninja. It's excellent for smoothies.
