Gilad

I want to get some of Gilad's workouts. I looked on Totalfitness and Gilad's website there are so many. Which DVD's are your favorites? I am not looking for anything super advanced..something that I can grow with about high beginner/intermediate, low impact cardio and basic strength training. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Good question. I've never used Gilad, but have read many good things about him. I should go check out a few of his workouts.

I just bought one of his new ab workouts and was disappointed. Now I'm afraid to buy anymore of his.

What are you looking for? Cardio? Strength? Mix of both? Abs?

Some of the ones of his I have used the most include:

Step & Tone - If stepping up and down rather mindlessly while doing upper body strength moves is for you, then this is a good workout. That section is followed by lower body (using the step), abs, and stretch. I really enjoyed this workout for a long time before I had to give up step due to the knees. Hmmmm.... Maybe I should try it again without the step.

Men's Arms of Steel Workout - This is a really good upper body workout. It's old though and he's by himself.

Gilad's Total Body Sculpt PLUS: Functional Fitness - I really like this DVD. It has both cardio and strength in the workouts.

Good luck with your search. I am sure you will get more recommendations.

I like his Express Workouts. That way I can mix my own routine.

Which one did you get? I've been eyeing the "Hard Core" one because it's a bit of everything, chaptered, and doesn't require a medball. I hope that's not the one you didn't like.

I love his new ab workout Phenomenal Core & Abs. It's a great core workout and he even does some lower body floorwork for the legs too. I thought this one had a lot of variety that worked the whole body.

For "vintage" Gilad, I really like the Beginner Weight loss and toning program. It's simple yet fun, and Gilad is charming.

More advanced at 70 mins is the new Best of Bodies in Motion. Some high impact, but can be split up, with lots of different clips. As always, the beautiful Hawaiian locale and Gilad's personality are the best parts. IMO.
