Thanks everyone.

I'll have to go look at all the links. As Jane said, I'm looking for pure guided meditation - I don't need the breathwork - infact - I sometimes get annoyed with guided breathwork - once I have the pattern I prefer to do it at my own pace.

Bebop,

in my opinion that's a sign of refinement in your yoga - breath is very individual. Generally, in Iyengar, the breath is not counted.

eta - Erich Schiffmann has a nice meditation cd.

I like these:

Experience Yoga Nidra by Swami Janakananda Saraswati

Guided Meditations: For Calmness, Awareness, and Love by Bodhipaksa (With his Scottish accent, I can pretend it's Gerard Butler. But, that is a different kind of meditation, LOL!)

Also, most of Jon Kabat-Zinn's are good.

Jane, I was interested in Erich's mediation CD, but his site is not secure. (At least, it wasn't the last time I checked.) I wish it was available at Amazon.

Rod Stryker has a Yoga Nidra CD and meditation CDs and he does an excellent job. I like them even more than his yoga dvds and videos - which are also good but guided meditation seems to be his strong point especially.

I should have mentioned those along with Bodhipaksa's. I have Rod's Yoga Nidra CD (Relax into Greatness) and love it.

I mentioned this in a separate thread, but you can buy individual tracks to some meditation CD's on Amazon for less than $1 each. Tracks to Stephen Cope's "Yoga for Emotional Flow", Shiva Rea's "Drops of Nectar", and CD's by Richard Freeman and Georg Feuerstein are there (I don't know whether those last ones are lectures or practices or a mix thereof). I own the Cope CD set and enjoy the three medidation tracks but don't have much use for the rest, so I would have welcomed the option to only purchase those. It's helpful to know what you're looking for, though. It's not an easy site to search of browse.

For reiki-inspired guided meditation, I have a CD called Inner Healing by Tanmaya Honervogt that I like a lot. Emmet Miller has a good selection of relaxation mediations called Easing into Sleep. I've also used Personal Meditations by Richard F. X. O'Connor, but find them too short for my needs (all under 10 min).

Bliss in a Box by Susan Piver has 3 meditations: Vipaassana, Metta, and a body scan, plus 3 yoga practices.
