Hi everyone,
I can't believe how behind I am on checking in I have for the most part been exercising and doing well. I've just been soooo busy! Catching up from last week: Friday: unplanned rest but at least I went for a short walk with the dogs...actually I've been trying to get more steps in general outside my workouts with the hopes it will help with weight loss It's been about a week of extra walks every day and I'm enjoying it! Saturday: Caroline Girvan Circuit series total body (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d81B...IT5yzc&index=6) and it was a toughie! I warmed up with Gina B walking (the Madonna mix this time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWz5itupOi0&t=902s) and it was great. I really like Gina B as an alternate to Grow with Jo who I also really like. I'm liking the longer but gentler warm ups lately. All in all it was a 90 minute workout! Sunday: Grow with Jo cardio abs, and I added some light weights where appropriate (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0q6RLPmlCQ&t=1170s) then Pure Barre Sculpted Abs #1 and stretch for a 60 minute workout. Like last week, the ab warm up plus the ab focused workout really made it a tough combo! I'll probably continue to do something similar every week Monday-Tuesday: Planned rest days but I definitely got a lot of walking in! Yesterday: I took a break from Caroline and did a Daniel PT upper body which was really well balanced and which I really enjoyed, I just switched out the last circuit for ab work so it was total upper body inclusive (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clY_...4uVpN&index=13) I'll definitely be doing this one again. Plus w/u stretch was a 56 minute workout. Today: Back to Caroline for lower body, about half the work was bodyweight only but it was a lot of isometric holds so I still felt the burnout (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu_S...4uVpN&index=14) definitely another winner. Total 55 minute workout. I'm not sure exactly what I'll do tomorrow, maybe Firm Ballroom or Firm Maximum Cardio, or a HIIT from youtube, or a dynamic Barlates? I'll just have to see how I feel. Then another EPIC total body Saturday and Pure Barre Sunday. Eventmom I am glad your knee isn't getting worse, but hope it starts improving soon! I used to wear hose all the time when I started in my office career (getting close to 20 years ago!!) but they phased out at least 10 years ago. But like you I still have a few pairs because you never know! Buzzer I am glad you enjoyed PHA from Strong and Sweaty! I just really enjoy all of Cathe's PHA workouts (there are three on DVD...the LITE is probably the easiest, then Strong and Sweaty; the Step Boss one is definitely the toughest). I love the PHA concept with alternating upper and lower. I think because that's what the Firm does a lot and it reminds me of those! It really gets the heart rate up and makes it more metabolic. Sorry to burst DH's bubble but yeah I don't think beanie babies are worth anything anymore, even the rare ones for the most part. I also had a bunch of them at some point (shaking my head ) and I think I just donated them. I wasn't even aware of the Abs of Steel step workouts? Are they un-complicated like the Firms are for the most part? Let me know I may have to hunt them down!

Happy Friday,
Today I did this "intense tabata" (not really overly intense-maybe more intense for her, and wouldn't classify as tabata, at least at my fitness level) Growwithjo workout (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc3baTfl0WI). But I still enjoyed it. It took about 20 minutes until I started sweating but it was a good gentle burn! Then I did just one more intense cardio dance, then an extended stretch for an overall 55 minute workout. It's only been about six days but so far I'm doing well with my new pursuit of getting extra steps in!! Even now I'm doing a gentle walk on the treadmill using a "desk", I've been doing a treadmill walk while on my work computer for three days now and the time goes right by. My goal is only 3000 steps a day (but I've been getting over 4000 most days) but compared to what I was getting before (probably less than 1000 per day on average) it is a lot more NEAT activity for me. Edited for Saturday: I still have a lot of leg DOMS from the Caroline workout on Thursday (even still arm soreness from my Wednesday workout!) but I still did the total body workout I had planned for myself with Caroline EPIC 2 (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqIw...ndex=7&t=2002s) and I hadn't planned it this way at all, but this workout was all isometric holds like my leg workout with Caroline on Thursday, so lots of burnout. I am wiped now! I also warmed up with Growwithjo again (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfG6KcsI_rI&t=649s) which was goofy but fun. And stretch for an overall 80 minute workout! Now I'm getting my NEAT steps in on the treadmill Eventmom I'm really enjoying DanielPT, I think he is my second favorite after Caroline. His strength workouts seem very well organized, more Caroline style of stacking the same muscle groups than just sporadic throughout. Buzzer waves!
