I came to this thread because I just saw the news about Peter. I've been listening to podcasts about Peter, and his ex-wife Polly Platt, which all started for me because of the excellent podcast Death of a Starlet about Dorothy Stratton.

Sidney Poitier has died. I can’t believe it. I just watched Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and was thinking about him being in his 90’s...so many great performances. RIP

I hadn't realized that To Sir, With Love, In the Heat of the Night and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner were all released in 1967. He would have been his own main competition at the Oscars. Those were three great movies.

Incredible, wasn't he? Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is one of my favorite all-time movies. I remember when my parents left us with a sitter to go see it at the movies!
