Good point about stretching the calves. I also found rolling my feet on a ball helped a lot, as well as a frozen bottle of water.

Another thing that really helped me are these spiky domes. I had them beside the bed and used them first thing when I got out of bed and a couple more times throughout the day.

Regarding Yoga Toes, try putting your fingertips between your toes to get an idea of how they will spread your toes.

I had it for around 6 months. I think what finally fixed mine was staying off my toes, which meant giving up my beloved dance classes, and wearing Oofos flip flops which have great arch support.

I can't speak to the rebounder. I wouldn't have used it. It seems to me like it would aggravate it, but I don't know.

Mine will start to come back if I try to spend too much time barefoot.

Oofos were a life saver for me, taking the weight off the back of my heel. The fascia attachment point in my heel was where most of my pain was.

It's so interesting to me how different we all are. My doctor at the time yelled at me for working out barefoot but I couldn't do it with shoes on. I started with them on and about 5 minutes in I couldn't get them off fast enough bc my feet hurt and sometimes burned.

I can tell in the spring that I haven't been barefoot for months bc my feet feel weaker. That's one thing I'm struggling with at the moment: the pedorthist I saw this week wants me wearing sandals in the house. I am a barefoot kind of girl! I exercise my feet periodically through the day. I guess sandals are easy enough to slip off.

Vannie - I wear Birks or Spencos most of the time in the house, but I almost always work out in bare feet to strengthen & stretch my feet. That works for me, but you’ll need to find a balance that works for you. My podiatrist wanted me strapped into shoes with orthotics as soon as I got out of bed in the morning. That helped a lot during the acute phase, but didn’t work for me in the long term.

Thanks, Pam! This whole thing has been so weird to me. The PF has been gone a long time so I'm not dealing with that and the current issues cause me very little pain. It's harder to change when pain is isn't a motivator!

Thank you all for your thoughtful replies. I will pass on your experiences and I will incorporate some of the suggestions myself. My feet have started feeling “funny” at times and being paranoid, I’m worried I might be developing PF.

Thanks again!
